This is with reference to the abovementioned subject who came to the BI Olongapo Field Office inquiring about extension of his stay in the country. Upon verification of his passport, it was found out that he arrived on December 8, 2010 and was admitted for twenty-one (21) days only. However, it was noted that written on the lower portion of the arrival stamp were letters VFA in which the ink used was different from the ink used by the Immigration Inspector. When questioned about the word VFA, he answered that he was a civilian employee of Evergreen International Airlines, Inc. a subcontractor and a member of the personnel under the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA). Mr. Davenport also presented all his companys identification cards and a letter issued by the Joint United States Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG) Philippines. Likewise he admitted that he was the one who wrote the word VFA on the lower portion of the arrival stamp in his passport. The undersigned immediately informed the subject of his need to report to the Main Office in Manila to clarify his status.
