EXPERIMENT 7: VERIFICATION OF THEVENIN AND NORTON THEOREMS AND MAXIMUM POWER TRANSFER
1. Objectives
To verify the practical usage of Thevenin and Norton Theorems. To verify maximum power transfer theorem.

. P!e"i#i$%!& '(!)
For the elow given circuit! find "# load resistor current! $th %Thevenin $oltage source&! 'th %Thevenin (' Norton 'esistor& and "N %Norton )urrent source&. 'epeat previous step y proteus simulation. o Draw the load resistance power with respect to '# as a parameter. *or+ out report ,uestions in advance! some of these ,uestions will pro a ly e as+ed in #-. ,ui/.

2. 4et up the circuit given elow. 1. 5easure "# load current. Fill this value in the result ta le given elow. 6. 5easure the open circuit voltage across % and b terminals %$a 7$th&. Fill this value in the result ta le given elow. 8. Then measure short0circuit current across % and b terminals. Note that this current is the Norton current %IN&. Fill this value in the result ta le given elow. 9. Now disconnect voltage sources from the circuit and replace them with short circuit. For this state! measure the net resistance across % and b. Note that this value is the Thevenin %or Norton& 'esistance /RTH 0 across % and b. Fill this value in the result ta le given elow.
