Lynda was hooked. She pur- chased a hand-hammered copper still, harvested plant materials and began experi- menting. Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, are naturally made and chemical free.
Hydrosols are the condensate waters co-produced during the steam or hydro- distillation of plant materials. Although referred to as "floral waters", many other natural materials can be ex- tracted: needles, roots, bark, branches, wood, leaves, or even fruit and seeds.
Hydrosols contain every part of the plant in every drop. The essential oils found in hydrosols are in solution, meaning they are not visible on the surface and do not separate out of the water. These waters have many soothing properties for the skin as well as the mind!
From helping the kids relax on hot summer car trips to treating skin conditions, hy- drosols have become a family go-to for many ailments.
