    To Whom It May Concern,

    I recently had the pleasure of working with Katherin Pereira as her cooperating teacher
    for her student teaching experience here at Kearny High School. She exhibited many of the
    characteristics of what I believe make an effective classroom teacher. Her greatest strengths lie
    in three specific areas that include her knowledge of best practices in education,
    professionalism and enthusiasm. Throughout her student teaching experience, Katherin
    exhibited great knowledge of the best practices for teaching English to the students. She used a
    variety of strategies for whole group, small group and individualized instruction which allowed
    more students to learn effectively. Katherin also demonstrated professionalism through her
    interactions with students and fellow teachers. The students felt comfortable with her as a
    teacher and I strongly believe that a safe and nurturing learning environment is key to learning.
    Finally, Katherin demonstrated enthusiasm for education. She demonstrated what it means to
    be a lifelong learner to the students and was open to constructive criticism that would help her
    become a better teacher. Overall Katherin was a welcome addition to our classroom and she
    will be missed. As a teacher it is sometimes turn your students over to a novice teacher but
    Katherins enthusiasm for teaching and knowledge of how students learn quickly removed any
    reservations I had. I believe that she would be a welcome addition to any school district that
