MAN-ZW is a high solids, 100% zircon-based refractory coating carried in a water-based solution. It is used in iron and steel foundries where severe metal penetration may occur. Being water-based, it does not have the odor or flammability issues of alcohol-based systems. MAN-ZW is especially useful for improving the surface finish of large castings poured in no-bake binders. It should be applied as received to minimize drying times.

HIGH SOLIDS ZIRCON BASED REFRACTORY COATING

MAN - ZW IS A HIGH SOLIDS, 100% ZIRCON COATING IN A WATER
BASED CARRIER. IT IS USED IN IRON AND STEEL FOUNDRIES WHERE
SEVERE METAL PENETRATION MAY BE A PROBLEM. BEING WATER BASED,
THERE ARE NON OF THE ODOUR OR FLAMMABILITY DRAWBACKS
INHERENT IN ALCOHOL BASED SYSTEMS. IT IS ESPECIALLY USEFUL IN
IMPROVING THE SURFACE FINISH OF LARGE CASTINGS POURED IN NO-
BAKE BINDERS. IT IS PREFERABLE TO USE MAN - ZW AS CLOSE TO AS
RECEIVED SO AS TO MINIMIZE DRYING TIMES.

APPLICATION

WHERE POSSIBLE, MAN - ZW SHOULD BE USED AS RECEIVED. MINIMAL
REDUCTION WITH WATER SHOULD BE EMPLOYED, AS NEEDED.

DIP: 70 - 80
BRUSH: 80 - 90
SWAB; 80 - 90

MAN - ZW CAN BE AIR DRIED, TORCHED OR OVEN DRIED. ENSURE
THAT THE COATING IS THOROUGHLY DRY BEFORE POURING.
