ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS

1. Honda (M) Sdn. Bhd. will expend its CRV production line due to the customer
demand. As a Japan Company that committed to the quality, each of the expend
production line will involve quality checking. Due to that, they need to hire new
operator to do all the inspection and measurement on the CRV component pre and
post production. The top management already decide to reduce the cost of expansion,
Honda will hire un-experience operator to do the task. As an engineer, predict what is
the factor will effecting the measurement and what is the error in measurement that
will occur.

2. Find the standard deviation and discuss your result?

Case 1: 10, 2, 11, 7, 22 , 14, 18, 24, 4
Case 2: 11, 15, 15, 14, 14, 9, 9, 14, 11

3. Determine the standard deviation of the moisture content of a roll of kraft paper.
The results of 6 readings across the paper web are:

6.7%, 6.0%, 6.4%, 6.4%, 5.9% and 5.8%
