Definition of Procedure Text :

Procedure is the set of steps which should be completed in the right sequence to get the goal.

Purpose:
To help us do a task or make something. They can be a set of instructions or directions.
Generic Structure of Procedure Text :
1. Goal : Title of the text (especially for a recipe)
2. Materials : Optional, not for all procedural texts
3. Steps : a series steps oriented to achieving the Goal

Language Features :

Use of imperatives (e.g.: cut, dont mix)

Use of action Verbs (e.g. : turn, put, mix)

Use of connectives (e.g. : first, then, finally, )

Use of adverbial phrases (e.g. : for five minutes, 2 centimeters from the top)
