    Prophet Yunus (AS) was sent by Allah to a town to tell the people they should only believe in and worship Allah. However, the people did not want to listen, so Yunus (AS) left in anger. He got onto a ship but was thrown overboard during a storm and swallowed by a large fish. Inside the fish's stomach, Yunus (AS) prayed to Allah for forgiveness. Allah heard his prayer and caused the fish to spit him out on land, where he found shelter and food until he was healthy. Yunus (AS) then returned to the town and found that the people had started to believe in Allah.

    Yunus (AS)

    Yunus (as) was a prophet!


    Whats a prophet?
    A prophet is someone who tells people Allah (Swt) is the ONE AND
    ONLY god for us and ALLAH swt made everything!

    Prophet Yunus AS was sent by Allah to a big town where many


    people had forgotten that Allah swt was our only God.
    You should believe only in Allah and obey only Him, Yunus AS told
    them. You should worship Him alone and do good, otherwise Allah
    swt will not be happy and you wont go into Jannah!

    But Yunus AS soon found out that the


    people did not want to listen to him.
    He got angry and left the town in
    anger.
    Afterwards, Yunus AS decided to go
    across the sea, and onto a ship. But
    when the ship was in the middle of the
    ocean, the ship started to wobble.

    He was thrown overboard and


    swallowed up by an enormous
    fish!
    But the fish swallowed Yunus AS
    in one big gulp, so he landed in
    its stomach unhurt.

    It was very dark inside the fish's stomach and Yunus AS grew very
    fearful. In his loneliness, he started to think over what had happened
    in the town and came to realize that he should not have acted so
    angrily. Instead, he should have stayed and kept on speaking to the
    people and listening to Allah swt.

    In his Sadness, Yunus AS started to


    pray with all his heart to Allah. He
    said,
    "Oh Allah, there is no God apart
    from You. You alone do I praise
    and honor. I have done wrong. If
    you do not help me, I shall be lost
    forever."

    Allah hears the prayers of those who


    pray to Him and those who believe in
    Him. Allah heard Yunus's AS prayers
    and He made Yunus AS to come out
    of the fish's stomach, and come to
    land!

    Allah caused a tree to grow and this tree provided Yunus AS with
    shade and good fruits.
    When Yunus (as) was healthy he went back to the town and saw that
    all the people started to believe in Allah!
