Everyone has similar needs for
wellness, but not everyone is
strong or weak in the same areas.
In order to assess their own
personal wellness strengths and
weaknesses, we will be creating
our own wellness wheels.
Continue to slide 5. Have a
student hand out the pre-made
wellness wheels and crayons.
Instruct the students to divide
each colored section into three
parts by drawing two lines. Show
slide 7 as an example
Continue to slide 6 to go over the
rules. When the students
understand, move onto the
assessment questions. Go over
one question at a time. Stop at
slide 12. When the wheels are
filled in, ask the students to take a
second and consider which areas
they are weakest in and which
they are strongest in.

Ask them to focus on an area they
felt weak on during the wheel
activity and to incorporate at least
one exercise suggestion from the
lesson.
After this week, they will need to
demonstrate this wellness plan to
another person in order to
promote healthy living in their
community.
