Course fees
Course fees in this guide have been broken down into two
categories; the standard fee which is for those aged 19 - 23 years
and the 24+ fee for those aged 24 and over. This has been done
so we can highlight to those aged 24 and over those courses where
you are able to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan.
How do I apply?
You can apply now for a loan for courses starting on or after
1 August 2014. Visit gov.uk/advancedlearningloans to apply
online or download an application form.
Repayment is straightforward
If your course finishes before 2016 repayments wont start until
April 2016. You also wont have to pay anything back until your
income is over 21,000 a year and if your income drops below this
amount your repayment will stop.
If you have a son or daughter, whos aged 16 18, and they are having second
thoughts about their course, or perhaps theyre still at home and havent made a
choice after their GCSEs, then its not too late to join Newcastle College.
