Water conservation involves trying to reduce the amount of water used, rather than increasing supply, vital
as water is finite and therefore probably more sustainable.
This can be done in different ways:
1. Agriculture
2. Government policies
3. Industry
4. Settlements

In Stigomta, Sweden, they hold an annual 'Pee Outside Day' which saves 50 percent of the water
normally used to flush a toilet.

Fit a low flush toilet, or put a water filled plastic bottle in your toilet tank
Shorten your showers by 1-2 minutes
Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth
When washing the dishes by hand dont leave the water running
Put only full loads in the washing machine and dishwasher
Keep a bottle of drinking water in the fridge, rather than running the tap to get cold water
Water the garden at cool parts of the day
Try harvesting water, by catching it in water butts
Drive your car onto the lawn to wash it!!
