Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance
of the head teacher, and child development staff.
Support the implementation of designated bilingual, multi-cultural curriculum.
Supervise children during the teachers absence.
Assist Teachers in the completion of four observations per month for each child, and the
completion of the Education Plan twice in the school year.
Perform Behavioral, Developmental and Social Assessments twice a year for each child.
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to
fully participate in activities.
Effectively serve children with disabilities and their families. Will make adaptations for
any disabilities. Work with professionals, such as speech therapists, as necessary.
Assist class teachers with maintaining student records.
Support students with emotional or behavioral problems and help develop their social skills.
Prepare and implement lesson plans.
Educate students and parents on the importance of nutrition
Support class teachers in administrative duties and other tasks in order to support teaching.
Perform any other job related tasks deemed necessary and/or as assigned by supervisor.
Partner with the community to provide families and children with resources.
Perform home visits to discuss childs progress, and education plan twice a year.
