largest family homeless shelter in the City of Philadelphia, PA. Primary responsibility for the following:
Planned, organized, directed, and controlled the Social Services and Case Management Departments of the
agency, including ensuring agency compliance with HUD and multiple funding sources that provide the an array of
services for the 220+ men, woman, and children residing within the facility on a daily basis
Develop and evaluate program modifications for continuous improvement of social services within the agency
Coordinated inter and intra-agency services with staff, community agencies and collaborative partners, and the City
of Philadelphias Office of Supportive Housing Program to ensure top-level social services that support families in
their journey toward self-sufficiency
Managed and provided psycho-social assessment, service planning, counseling, crisis intervention, and case
management services for all family consumers residing within the facility
Provide work and clinical supervision to all program staff, including case management, and social work interns

The agency is located within an extremely diverse area of the community. The program is supported by multiple funding
sources and includes a range of services for individuals, families, and community/neighborhood groups, including: the agency
and school-based After School Program; Teen Program; the Summer Challenge Day Camp Program; the Teen Summer

Played a major role in the agency's financial growth and development that resulted in a 45% increase in the
agencys annual operating budget
Developed, wrote, obtained and successfully managed grants/proposals and governmental contracts from funders
such as United Way of Franklin County ($479,896 in 1994); Franklin County Children Services ($68,000 in 1994-95
for Prevention Services to High-risk Families); Ohio Department of Health ($32,000 in 1994-95 for AIDS/HIV
Education/Prevention to High-risk Adolescents); Columbus Youth Foundation ($6,000 in 1994 to support the Summer
Youth Program for children); Franklin County Dept. of Human Services ($22,250 in 1993-94 to support the Child Day
Care Training Program); Franklin County Office on Aging's Senior Options Program ($11,000 in 1994 to support the
Older Adult Outreach Program); Junior League of Columbus ($6,000 in 1994-95 to support computer-assisted learning
for youth program participants); Ohio Commission on Minority Health ($4,000 to support a statewide AIDS/HIV
minority health conference); Ohio Children's Trust Fund ($25,000 in 1993-94 to support the Afterschool and Teen

service centers located within high-risk neighborhoods and service provision to 4,300 children and adults residing
within these neighborhoods
Developed application for and obtained approved provider status of continuing professional education credits
