    IMPERSONAL REPORTING STRUCTURES

    We use this structure to talk about what people in general say, think or believe about
    something.
    There are two types of impersonal structures:
    1. It+ be+ past participle of believe, know, think, say, expect, claim, report + that+
    clause.
    e.g: It is believed that the thieves entered though the window.
    It has been said that the students cheated in the exam.
    2. Subject+ be+ past participle of believe, know, think, say, expect, claim, report+
    to+ infinitive/have past participle.
    e.g. Dolphins are said to be able to communicate.
    The P.M. was claimed to have known about the corruption inside his political party.
