SAT and SAT SUBJECT TESTS

The SAT

SAT and SAT SUBJECT TESTS CALENDAR 2015-16

The SAT is a globally available test

accepted by colleges and universities
throughout the United States and in
numerous international locations. It is
offered at least seven times a year in the
United States and U.S. territories, and
up to six times a year internationally.
IMPORTANT: Beginning in March 2016,
the SAT will change. While still assessing
skills in reading, writing, and math, the
redesigned SAT focuses on the knowledge
and skills that current research shows
are most essential for college and career
readiness and success. The SAT redesign
centers on eight key changes; to learn
more about these changes, please visit
collegereadiness.collegeboard.org.

SAT Subject Tests

The SAT Subject Tests are one-hour,
content-based tests that give students an
opportunity to highlight their academic
background and interests in specific subject
areas, including math, science, history,
literature, and languages. By showcasing
achievement in their strongest subjects,
Subject Tests give students an opportunity
to distinguish themselves in the college
admission process. For more information,
visit sat.org/educators.
