Technical Data - IP Protection Classification IEC 529

The document describes an international standard for classifying the protection levels of electrical equipment cases. The standard uses a two-digit coding system to indicate protection against intrusion of particles and penetration of liquids. The first digit refers to protection against external solids from 0 (no protection) to 6 (complete protection against dust). The second digit refers to protection against liquids from 0 (no protection) to 8 (indefinite immersion in water). The standard provides guidelines for classifying cases based on this two-digit coding system.
