A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT ME

I was born in Croydon England and am the

second oldest of four siblings (two boys and two
girls). I left England at a very young age and moved to
Canada. I spent a few years in and around the Toronto
area before my family settled down in a small town
away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Im a big fan of sports and played a few over
the year: basketball, volleyball, rugby and track and
field to name a few. However, my greatest passion
was for football. I played football in high school and
that lead me to Saint Marys University in Halifax, Nova
Scotia where I achieved my Bachelor of Arts and then
eventually Medaille College in Buffalo, New York for
my Masters of Science in Education.
As a student athlete, I participated in many
public relations activities. The activity that intrigued
me the most was interacting with elementary school
aged children. After graduating from university I
didnt enter into the educational sector but I did stay
somewhat connected through volunteering with
incarcerated youth and coaching youth football.

MY PHILOSOPHY ON EDUCATION
All educators should strive for greatness. Educators should appreciate that its
not good enough to be simply great at teaching the ABC and 123. I believe that in
order to achieve greatness as an educator, one must learn about the person they wish
to teach. An educator must understand that every child has the potential to achieve
an A grade but not all will accomplish it. Elementary school is where the seed of
knowledge is planted and cultivated. The implementation of the knowledge base:
Who, What, Where, When, Why and How is the seed and the educator is the
cultivator.
As an Educator, I would personally enjoy the challenges of meeting the various
needs of my students. I take pride in aiding others and as a professional, my goal
would be to engage in positive interactions inside and outside of the classroom.
