48x8 Scrolling Matrix Led Display Using Arduino Controller - All

The document describes a project to display scrolling text on a 48x8 LED dot matrix display using an Arduino Uno microcontroller. Six shift registers are used to drive the 48 columns individually, while another shift register drives the 8 rows. The Arduino program scans across the rows and columns to display the text. Functions are defined to refresh the display, plot LEDs on/off, and scroll the text from right to left one character at a time by updating the bitmap and shifting it left.

aregoingtodisplay.Thetechniquewillbedemonstratedforrighttoleftscroll,
butcanbeeasilyimplementedforscrollinginotherdirections.TheSketch
