1. Description of the locations where traffic control signal phot violation-monitoring systems are used
The Chart to the left lists all of the Red Light Camera locations by approach.
Per the enabling legislation and Common Council Ordinance, the City
is authorized to place red light cameras at upto twenty (20) intersections.
If each intersection had four (4) approaches the City could install upto 80
red light cameras with one (1) camera detecting each approach.
After examining the number of approaches at each intersection and working
with the City's contractor, GATSO USA, it was determined that thirty-five (35)
approaches at the maximum twenty (20) intersections would receive Red
Light Camera enforcement equipment
The number of cameras, location, approach direction and date the camera
equipment started enforcement mode is listed.

The violations report represents violations capture by GATSO during the dates
listed at the top of the spreadsheet. These violations are reviewed by GATSO
staff through three separate reviewvews prior to electronically sending the verified
violations to APD for review and either affirmation or dismissal by APD Officers.
Violations are reviewed daily by GATSO staff and sent to APD. There is an approximate
4-7 day lag between captured potentional violations and actual sending to APD
for review.
