Lucida Bright was chosen as the consistent font for the titles in an opening sequence to look more professional and of high quality than multiple fonts. Font size was varied to show differing importance, with the film title being largest. While Lucida Bright looked professional and increased aesthetics, white text on light backgrounds was hard to read, so a drop shadow was added to resolve the issue. Other considered fonts were Helvetica and Century.

Analysis of Fonts Used
Font: Lucida Bright
Font Style: Regular Color: White Alignment: Each title was aligned in a different place on the frame.
For the titles of our opening sequence I decided to use a consistent
font as I thought that it would look more professional and of a high quality rather than having several different fonts. In order to show a variance in the importance of each title, I decided to change the font size. The title of the film would be the biggest font used as it is the most significant aspect of the opening sequence that the audience should see. The font I decided to use was Lucida Bright, which I kept the same throughout the entire opening sequence, as it looks professional and I believe that it would help increase the aesthetics of my opening sequence. The font is also clear which makes it readable which was one of the key aspects that I was thinking about when I was choosing the font. I encountered an issue with the color as some of the frames had a white background which meant that the text was difficult to read. I tried to overcome this issue by changing the font to black yet this did not help as the font was hard to read in the darker shots. I then decided to add a drop shadow to the white colored font, which made it easier to read. Other fonts I considered: Helvetica, Century
