To Whom It May Concern:
As a teacher, I am privileged to work with students who care intensely about their
academic performance, sportsmanship, community contributions and interpersonal
relationships. Anika Morkowski is a student who embodies this academic drive,
excellent sportsmanship, and who has consistently contributed to the school and local
communities. She builds interpersonal relationships with others on campus, with young
children as a youth camp counselor, and with the adults with whom she interacts. It is
for these reasons that I strongly recommend her as a scholarship recipient with your
organization.
I had the opportunity to teach Anika 3rd Year Spanish during the 2014-2015 Academic
Year. The course is a challenging academic course requiring students to use their
language skills outside of basic memorization, and apply real-life themes and contexts to
the material they have learned. Anika consistently performed at a high level in the class,
both in terms of her participation, and in terms of interacting with other students in
group work and small group projects. I knew from the beginning of the year that I could
count on Anika to deliver quality work into which she had invested her knowledge,
interest and drive.
Anikas academic drive, interpersonal skills and commitment to everything she does
speak volumes about she is likely to approach her long-term goals. She is ultimately
interested in becoming an epidemiologist, which will allow her to leverage her attention
to detail and commitment to quality results in a way that will make a difference to a
private, local, state or national organization. I envision that her skill set and the
development of her personal characteristics ten years from now will result in her making
a difference not only in her professional field, but also in the daily lives of those with
whom she has the opportunity to work. I heartily recommend that Anika be chosen as a
scholarship recipient.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or need further
information.
