Prepare the PowerPoint slides, check the
resource, and review the lesson plan.

Hour, half hour, clock, and numbers ( 112).


Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group
activities)
Ask about the date, the day of today, and take the attendance).
Start with a short video that inform the students about what we will going to
talk about.

Guided Experience (a group working with the teacher):


After the video. Start the first activity.

Materials:
Mini board.
Markers.

Purpose:
Read clocks and write times: hour and half hour.
Purpose achieved through:
Through this activity the students will practice on reading and writing the
time (hour and half hour) with the teacher.
Instructions:

How

The teacher will write a time on the board.


The students will draw the time on their mini boards.
Then the teacher will draw the clock and ask the students to write the time.
it will help both students and teacher?

Students:

Motivate them to learn because it combines fun and learning.


Activate to use the prior knowledge.
Practice in reading and writing the time.

Teacher:

Assess the students


Check their ability.
Observe them.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


Purpose: ( activity one, two, and three).
Applying differentiation activities depending on the students level, to help and support
the students to improve their level. The function of the activities is different but, the all
activities designed for the same reason:
Read clocks and write times: hour and half hour.
Activity one: worksheet / High level.

Purpose achieved through:


The students will try to read the clock and write the time ( hour and half
hour).

How it will help both students and teacher?

Students:

Engaging the students to work.


Able to assess their knowledge.

Support the students.


Take them to a higher level.
Evaluate their understanding.

Activity two: worksheet. / Middle level.

In this activity the students will need to read the time and write the clock.

The students will need to read the clock and write the time from the choices
they have.

Check the students work together. Evaluate their understanding through the activities.

Reflection:
what went well:
The students were engaged and participated. Moreover, it helps me to evaluate the
students ability.
Students were engaged with the video. The video integrated different learning styles,
using this song such as, Auditory when they listen to the song. Also, visual when they
see the pictures of the clock and time.
Manage the time because I applied all of the activities.
Even better if:
Change some activates because some students finished quickly ( work sheet). And thats
happened because the questions were not enough.
If I applied the individual reward system ,adding to the group system. Because, the
students in this way will try hard to finish their work and get the point.

Next

step in teaching and learning:


Prepare different and new activities for students.
Use story to facilitate students learning.
Have more questions on the worksheet.
