    Bilingual educator with tutoring/teaching experience in k-12 classes. Currently
    pursuing a BCLAD Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and completed half a
    semester of student teaching in a two-way immersion kindergarten class in San
    Francisco Unified.

    Accomplishments
    Taught and tutored bilingual students from grades k-8. Developed curriculum
    across multiple content areas and in accordance with the Common Core State
    Standards.
    As a member of Americorps, organized a family literacy night for an
    elementary school in Salinas, creating games and activities for bilingual
    families.
    Substitute taught for classes from kindergarten to 8th grade. Taught a variety
    of subjects, including: general ed., English, history, Spanish, mathematics and
    science.
    Lead visual technician for Dublin High School marching band. Taught
    marching and music instruction for over 10 years.

    Special Day Class Teacher
    April, 2015- June, 2015
    Taught a middle-school Special Day Class in the last quarter of the year. Short term
    assignment for a class that had two previous teachers leave. Carried out lesson
    plans in multiple subjects and suited to IEP accommodations and goals. Organized
    IEP meetings along with administration and fellow teachers. Developed end of the
    year projects about career choices and professional development.

    Literacy Tutor
    August, 2013- July, 2014
    Developed curriculum in English and Language Arts for students classified as
    English language learners, grades K-4. Program aimed at providing tutoring to
    groups of students scoring below grade level on benchmark assessments.
    Addressed teaching all areas of English/Language arts, including phonics, grammar,
    reading comprehension, and writing.
    Volunteered at local events aimed, including reading nights, food drives, and speech
    and debate tournaments.

    Tutored for an after-school learning center for foster youth. Built personal
