summary

This story is about King Midas getting to greedy and


asked for the golden touch which backfired in his face
and he ended up turning everything he touched into gold
including food. He got the golden touch from the god
Dionysus who said " this is a solemnly request." He
ended up being correct and so King Midas was cursed
with the golden touch. He got the golden touch after he
requested a big feast for the god Dinoysous(the god of
partying and wine). King Midas was greedy and cruel to
his people who always wanted more, that's why he asked
for the golden touch.

Plot Outline

Setting:Asia Phyrigia

Characters:Midas,Silenus,Dionysus,
Asks for golden touch. Backfires.
Greedy,cruel,obedient,mean,worships gods(so does everyone),drunk.

In the story King Midas is foolish and greedy. One
piece of evidence is how Midas asked
Dionysus for the ability to turn things into gold.
Since he was King, he was very selfish about his
property and belongings. This proves that Midas is
greedy because a lot of people want money as a
belonging. His selfishness explains why he always
wants to get what he wants.
