Case Study - Tutorial 15-08-2013
1. Greg, Kristine, Ken, Carol, and Jim are all members of a project management team
charged with selecting, adapting, and implementing the software system for the
companys new intranet system. Although none will confront him directly just
because he is the team leader, all the other team members agree that Greg has the
biggest ego of anyone involved in the project. He has a history of trying to take
personal credit for the groups successes, but blames everyone else if a problem
arises. Within meetings, he tends to interrupt others without listening to what they
have to say. Communication among the team is suffering. What are the barriers that
are preventing effective communication within this group? How to overcome the
barriers occurred? (10 marks)
