OPERATIONAL UPDATE
DUNQUIN SITE SURVEY UNDERWAY
Providence Resources P.l.c., (Providence) the London (AIM) and Dublin (ESM) listed oil and gas
exploration and production company, is pleased to confirm that site survey operations are underway on
the Dunquin acreage (FEL 3/04), Porcupine Basin, off the west coast of Ireland. The work is being carried
out by ExxonMobil on behalf of the Dunquin co-venturers and is to assess the site for the drilling of an
exploration well.
ExxonMobil is the licence Operator. Providence holds a non-operated 16% interest in FEL 3/04 with its
partners ExxonMobil (40%), ENI (40%) and Sosina Exploration (4%).

(40%) and Sosina Exploration (4%). Located in the Porcupine Basin off the west coast of Ireland, FEL 3/04 covers an area of 5 blocks. In August 2009,
ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Ireland (Offshore) Limited, that the Frontier Exploration Licence 3/04 (Dunquin) partners (ExxonMobil Exploration
and Production Ireland (Offshore) Limited, Eni, Providence and Sosina) notified the Irish Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources that
they had elected to enter the second phase of the licence. The second phase carries a firm well commitment within the Dunquin licence.
