Islam Is Peace
 Islam is Arabic and Al-Quran’s word which
have a various meanings.
-Several verses of the Al-Quran express
Islam is peace, and sometime signify as
submission or surrender.
-Etymologically, the word of Al-Islam have
a variation of accents, salam, salm,
-The Islamic greeting is assalamualaikum,
which mean literally, peace be upon you
• This give mean that the concept of peace
advocate by Islam is comprehensive and
extensive. Peace in home, society, country
and world.
• Peace at home it’s mean The consent of the
parties concerned should be given and no
woman is to be married against her will.
• Peace in the society it’s mean Islam make
emphasis on the importance of upholding
compassion and harmony
Islam condemns haughtiness kesombongan,
vanity sifat suka berlagak and insolence biadab.
In a pragmatic Islamic society insolence,
violence, vanity have no ground to occur.
Because of the prevalence of the concept of
equity of all men irrespective of color, tongue
and nationality.
Peace in the world. Islam views it as extremely
essential for the world’s survival. In fact, Islam
uphold peace is the rule. The sword of Islam
has never used for religious compulsory.
Islam Is Submission

• Islam means Submission


– It is the divine purpose in this creation is full
submission to the will of Allah and absolutely
compliance with commandment.
– Allah did not just create man for life but Allah
also has designed a comprehensive life system
for them to adhere.
Islam is Din
• Islam is not merely religion according to the western
concept of world, Which things are separated between
religious belief and life activities.
• This is Christian faith as mentioned in Bible Matthew
(Render unto Caesar the thing which are Caesar’s and
unto God the things are God’s).
• Islam upholds that Caesar and all Caesar absolutely
belong to Allah. None is deemed outside Allah’s
sovereignty and suzerainty .
• In full-fledge Islamic society not only religious
activities to be carried out in the names of Islam
but also the political, economic and social aspect
as well.
• Allah substantiates various social affair in the
noble Quran which have no directly activities of
worshipping God.
• For example punishment on committing adultery,
robbery and murdering and etc.
Islamic creed
•- The belief of oneness of God and the belief
in the finality and universality of prophet
Muhammad (pbuh)
•- All Islamic practice started with the deep
conviction the God is absolutely one.
•- the whole edifice of Islam is built upon this
faith and doctrine.
•- the Creature has to understand that Allah is
unique, absolute, almighty He has to be
dignified and glorified from any ascription of
weakness and impotence.
As-Solah
•- The five times daily prayer is a second
pillar of Islam.
•- The prayer has to be performed in
common language, that is the Arabic
language.
•- The Solah has to be performed in certain
words and actions the opening which takbir
and closing with salam.
•- Obviously the members of Islamic
community is obliged to attend the
congregational prayer on Friday.
• The performance of congregational prayer
demonstrate various things. Which ought to
be practice in entire Islamic Society.
• The selection of Imam is on the basic of
efficiency to do the job is the same quality of
community leaders in the country is required
in.
• If the imam commits mistake every
participant has a right to correct him. The
same right is accorded to the members of the
community to set the leaders right once he
goes wrong.
3-Zakah
• zakah is a Arabic word is connote a cleansing
and purification.
• The institution of zakah play a vital role in
self-cultivation, the wealthy train to get rid his
greed and avarice and the needy can protect
themselves from envy and hatred.
• Human instinct has a tendency to acquire more
wealth and monopolize it. If unchecked the
gap between rich and poor will be widen.
Fasting

- Fasting on the month of Ramadhan is the


fourth Pillar of Islam.
- Fasting is the deliberate abstinence from
food, drink and any fast breaking from
dawn to sunset.
- Fasting is the self-explanatory of
righteousness and God loving and improve
the fearing and high discipline in God.
Al-Hajj
• Hajj is Arabic word literally means to pay a
ritual visit to sacred place.
• Purposely to perform a necessary ritual
– Tawaf around Kaabah
– Running between two hill (safa and marwah)
– Attending general assembly at Arafah.
– Stay at Mina.
– Stone three Jumrah.
Al-Hajj
• Performing hajj is prescribed at least once a
life time on every Muslim.
• Hajj seems to be quite deference in the
sense that the five daily prayer need
devotion of time, Fasting requires giving up
of foods etc. Zakah demand sacrifice of
wealth but Hajj needs greater sacrifice of
time, wealth and energy.
