 At the end of the unit students will be
able to

 Demonstrate a sound understanding of database concepts.


 Demonstrate skill in database modeling including
Normalization.
 Demonstrate the ability to define and manipulate data
using SQL.
 Design and develop a database for a business application
using a commercial database management system.
 Describe the role of database management within an
organization
