    SYSTEM/MODEL: AP-M

    MODIFICATION: Using UL Listed power supplies

    DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 4 - Moderate/hard - Internal connection or component addition.

    COMPONENTS REQUIRED: 1. PS-1820UL power supply, 18V DC

    INSTR/OPERATIONS: 1. Cut wires from large AC transformer to PC board (heavy red


    wires to points 27 and 28).

    2. Remove incoming AC power cord from master station.

    3. Reconnect the power on/off switch in series with the positive of


    power supply and pt. 27 on PC-381.

    4. Connect negative from the PS-1820UL power supply to GND


    terminal of master station.

    Aiphone’s product warranty applies to products properly modified using these instructions.
    However, if a unit is damaged as a result of improper modification, the warranty does not apply.
    AP-M SYSTEM WITH UL LISTED POWER SUPPLIES

    Disconnect AC transformer.
    Cut RED wire from pt. 27,
    and splice with GRAY wire
    from switch.

    Red wire
    Gray wire

    Black
    +
    -
    X

    PS-1820UL
    Red

    Reconnect power switch in series with "+" of power supply.


    (One side of switch to Pt. 27 on PCB, other side to "+" of power supply.
    Connect "-" to ground of AP-M.
