Position Description Picture

Sitting on the chair 1. The subject sitting on the chair


with trunk 90 degree straight
2. Hip and knee flexion
3. The spring hanging at the back of
the subject
4. The spring should be parallel with
the steel cage
5. Ensure that the subject
comfortable with the hand
wrappings Starting Position
6. Teach the subject that the
movement of the hand must be
forward
1. Ask the subject to move forward
hand (shoulder flexion)
2. Ensure that the subject move the
hand slowly while resist the
spring force
3. Ask the subject to hold about 2 or
3 second before release the
spring slowly
4. Repeat the movement as needed
End Position

Stride standing 1. The subject erect standing with


the straight trunk
2. The spring hanging at the back of
the subject
3. The spring should be parallel with
the steel cage
4. Ensure that the subject
comfortable with the hand
wrappings
5. Teach the subject that the Starting Position
movement of the hand must be
forward
1. Ask the subject to move forward

1. Demonstrate to the patient how to
do extension of the shoulder.
2. Ask patient to extend the
shoulder and resist the resistance
of spring as demonstrated.
3. To increase the resistance,
increase the inclination of angle.
4. Ask to repeat the movement for 5
times.
