    Loco Marines and Gladiators Dominate


    Phat Fro Fantasy Football
    Thus far into the 2008 fantasy football season the league has been
    dominated by two teams: the Loco Marines in the GFC and the
    Gladiators in the BFC. These two teams both sport 9-1 records in
    conference play and both teams lead there respective conferences in
    overall points scored. Justin Stafford’s Loco Marines are led by the
    outstanding play at QB with Tony Romo and Philip Rivers. The only
    problem he has each week is deciding which one of these QB’s to start.
    His backfield is dominated by Steven Jackson who ranks 12th in RB’s so
    far this season and has already had his bye week. His other RB’s are
    the surprisingly good Willie Parker and Le’Ron Mclain. Justin’s team
    doesn’t let up at the WR position either being led by Plaxico Burress,
    Roddy White, and Lee Evans all of which are scoring in the mid 30’s on
    average. Phil Carter’s Gladiators weakest position seems to be QB but
    is still doing well with David Garrard averaging 30 points a game. Many
    of Phil’s points have come from the RB position with one of the best
    tandems in the league: Marion Barber and Clinton Portis. Both of these
    backs are averaging over 40 points per week. Phil’s also has the number
    one WR so far this season in Greg Jennings with an average of 45 points
    a week. Phil’s other WR’s are Steve Smith and Tory Holt. He also
    happen to have both Antonio Gates at TE and the Bears Defense. Both
    of these teams will be hard to catch in the upcoming weeks and could be
    poised to make a run for a Phat Fro Championship in 2008.
