How to Conquer Your Loneliness Feeling lonely is a feeling of isolation. You feel like no one cares and that you are invisible. You feel isolated even when there are crowds of people right next to you. Everyone feels lonely every once in a while, but for people who feel this way often there is hope.

When you think of being lonely, you think of a face with a sad expression. You tend to picture a glass of wine with classical music playing the background. Well, let's change that picture into party music, dancing, soda pop and conversations. That picture sounds fabulous right? Well this is the picture you get when you conquer your loneliness.

1. Let's get to the root of the problem. Why do you feel like peanut butter with no jelly so often? You must think long and hard about the first question. Maybe it's because of a divorce, depression, the kids have moved out. Maybe youre just too darn stressed. Figure out what has you feeling like you want to sing the blues. A great way to break out of lonely town is to volunteer. Volunteering helps you get out of the house and it helps other people. Try a site like Volunteermatch.com they will email you with open opportunities in your city. There are many ways to keep you from feeling lonely. All you have to do is reach out and talk to someone. We allow ourselves to get in a rut and stay there, give yourself a break. Life is about connections, just because we came in to this world alone doesnt mean that we have to stay that way forever.
