**Voter Registration/Pre-Registration: On Wed, Oct. 3, Seniors are to report to the library immediately after breakfast, 9:15-9:45am, for voter registration with the Supervisor of Elections office personnel. From 9:45- 10:15am, 16 & 17 year olds may go to the library for pre-registration, at teachers discretion. **Homecoming Court Elections: H/S students - pick up eligibility forms from Ms. Howze-Jones. Forms must be turned in by Tues, Oct. 2 @ 3:00pm. Once eligibility is confirmed, students may begin advertising. Voting will in the cafeteria on Oct. 5 during H/S lunch. **Math Tutoring for M/S & H/S Students: Tutoring will be offered every Tuesday & Thursday from 2:15-3:00pm. M/S & H/S math teachers will be available in their classrooms.

**3 Annual Miss Pumpkin Queen: Pageant will be Oct. 27 at the Carrabelle City Hall Auditorium starting @
2:15pm. $50 Entry Fee by Oct. 10. Late registration will include an additional $15 late fee. Must have at least 15 contestants by deadline for Pageant to take place. Nine age division queens. For more info call 591-7657 or 697-4563.

**49th Annual Florida Seafood Festival Parade- Deadline to enter is Oct. 15. Contact Pamela Brownell at
670-4411 or Pamela.brownell@yahoo.com for more info. The parade will be on Saturday, Nov. 3.

BOX TOPS for EDUCATION: The Franklin County School PTO is collecting Box Tops again this year!! This is a very successful fundraiser. Please send all Box Tops to your child's teacher. Middle and High School parents can save them too! Please turn your Box Tops in to Mrs. Laura King or Ms. Leigh Smith GED CLASSES
The Franklin County Adult Education Courses will be offering GED classes at the Franklin County School in the near future. The next GED Test will be given Oct. 29 & 30, 2012 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test or for classes, contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481. The Franklin County Adult Education Courses do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, National origin, age, handicap, or marital status.

**The Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act states that children & youth who lack a
fixed, regular, & adequate nighttime residence are considered homeless. If, due to a loss of housing, a child must live in a shelter, motel, vehicle, campground, on the street, in abandoned buildings, or doubled-up with relatives or friends, then he/she is eligible to receive services provided under the McKinney-Vento Act.
