Description Specially designed to meet challenging requirement of modern tiling, with incorporation of flexible properties and enhance adhesion especially for large format fully vitrified tiles, marble & granite, mosaics. 3. Advantages Build in flexibility to absorb vibration, shrinkage and deflection or substrates. Enhance Adhesion of low porosity tiles to dense impervious substrates eg: Stone onto existing tiles, cast in situ concrete, prefabrication concrete wall. No liquid admixture required or mixing error. Just add water. Extensive range of application for interior and exterior wall and floor installation Proven quality , class AA adhesive exceeding stringent BS standard Specially formulated to absorb vibration shrinkage and deflection of the substrate. Suitable for industries processing areas, concrete suspended floor, balconies, railway station and substrate subject to thermal stresses, external wall & floor e.g. : parade floor etc. Water resistant and is ideal for shower and swimming pool Soaking of ceramic glazed tiles is not required. 4. Usage Mix with clean water approx 7 to 8 litre , apply the adhesive at a minimum thickness of 9mm, use a suitable 12mm half round notched trowel; for minimum thickness 6mm, use a suitable 9mm notched trowel or minimum thickness 3mm use a suitable 6mm notched trowel. Do not spread more than 1 sq. meter at a time. IMPORTANT: Due to atmospheric condition, the skinover of the adhesive will occur after 5-10 minutes, therefore special attention have to be taken. So it is important that adhesive is applied in a small area that can be covered with tiles within this period of time. [NOTE: Skin over can be checked by placing the tip of your index finger lightly to the adhesive bed surface. If the adhesive does not stick to your finger, skin over has already occurred. To break the skin re-trowels in opposite direction. Fix stone, ceramic glazed tiles, ceramic vitrified tiles, mosaic within 15 minutes of applying adhesive and check coverage by occasionally lifting stone, ceramic glazed tiles, ceramic vitrified tiles, mosaic. Allow 24 hours before grouting. 5. Coverage A- Approx 10 m to receive ceramic tile / mosaic on flat surface at 3mm bed thickness using notched trowel B- Approx 5m to receive ceramic tile on flat surface at 6mm bed thickness using notched trowel C- Approx 2.5m to receive stone / ceramic tile on flat surface at 9mm bed thickness using notched trowel 6. Surface / Preparations All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, and free of dust, grease, oil, compound and any foreign material which will inhibit proper bond. Concrete should have a surface to the similar to a light broom finish. It is the users responsibility to determine the condition and suitability of all surfaces prior to application.

7. Installation a) Areas that are to receive stone , ceramic glazed tile , mosaic installation by the Thin Bed Method must have a wood float finish, be true and plumb within 3mm in 3m and be pitched to drains where required. b) Using the flat side of the trowel first, apply the Davcoflex 666 in a scraping motion to work the material into good contact with the surface to be covered. c) When installing large pieces of marble and granite, ceramic tile , it is recommended to use a trowel having notches approximately 12mm x 12mm (1/2 x ) and a small quantity of the mortar shall be troweled onto the entire back surface of each piece. d) Only as much mortar shall be applied as can be covered within 10-15 minutes, or while mortar surface is still wet and tacky. e) The marble, granite, ceramic tiles shall then be set in place and rapped or beaten with a small beating block or rubber mallet to insure 100% full bedding and to level the surface of the installation. f) Marble and granite, ceramic tile shall be aligned to show uniform joints and then be allowed to set until firm.
