Socio Cultural Environment

Natural Environment

Technological Environment

The Macro-Environment There are many factors in the macro-environment that will affect the decisions of the managers of any organization.Whenever a marketer trying to get in to a market they must consider the macro environment forces. The development of macro environment is as necessary as other contents of marketing concepts. The major issues are Economic Environment Socio Cultural Environment Ecological Environment Technological Environment Legal Environment

Tax changes, new laws, trade barriers, demographic change and government policy changes are all examples of macro change. To help analysis these factors managers can categorize them using the PESTEL model. This classification distinguishes between:

Economic Environment: Before establish a plant nursery business we need to consider some changes of economy. These include interest rates, taxation changes, economic growth, inflation and exchange rates. As you will see throughout the "Foundations of Economics" book economic change can have a major impact on a firm's behavior. For example: - Higher interest rates may deter investment because it costs more to borrow. - A strong currency may make exporting of our nursery plant more difficult because it

may raise the price in terms of foreign currency. - Inflation may provoke higher wage demands from employees and raise costs. - Higher national income growth may boost demand for plant products. Also it determines the strength and size of the market. Though the market of plant nursery is now become very popular and profitable. The purchasing power in an economy depends on current income, prices, savings, and circulation of money, debt and credit availability where at Bangladesh we set different price for every level of customer. The Plant nursery business is a very profitable business if we would consider all these facts at a country like Bangladesh.

Socio-cultural Environment: Changes in social trends can impact on the demand for a firm's products and the availability and willingness of individuals to work. This is too general an entity which influences almost all enterprises in a similar manner. It is a complex factor such as social traditions, values and beliefs, level and standards of literacy and education, the ethical standards and state of society, the extent of social satisfaction, conflict and cohesiveness and so forth. So before we set a plant nursery business, we must maintain the cultural factors by determine its value. We have to participate different socio-cultural issues like make awareness for tree plantation, how our organic plant tree

would be valuable for society, giving them awareness about the greenhouse effect etc. By considering all these issues, we can build a pollution free green Bangladesh.

Technological Environment: New technologies create new products and new processes. MP3 players, computer games, online gambling and high definition TVs are all new markets created by technological advances. Online shopping, bar coding and computer aided design are all improvements to the way we do business as a result of better technology. Technology can reduce costs, improve quality and lead to innovation. These developments can benefit consumers as well as the organizations providing the products. In our plant nursery business technological environment has a ggod effect and it is that due to technological innovation now a days plastic plant which is very similar to natural plant has emerged and people are showing their interest to buy the product because plastic plant has less difficulties to take care and plastic plant have no chance to die where as in natural plant people have to take care a lot and there is a possibility that the plant can die. So this is how the technological environment might affect our business.

Natural environment: Natural factors include the weather and climate change. Changes in temperature can impact on many industries including farming, tourism and insurance. With major climate changes occurring due to global warming and with greater environmental awareness this external factor is becoming a significant issue for firms to consider. The growing desire to protect the environment is having an impact on many industries such as the travel and transportation industries (for example, more taxes being placed on air travel and the success of hybrid cars) and the general move towards more environmentally friendly products and processes is affecting demand patterns and creating business opportunities. This natural environment will positively affect our nursery plant business. People are getting more conscious about environment and they are more concentrating about planting more plants to help the environment.

Legal and political environment: these are related to the legal environment in which firms operate. In recent years in the UK there have been many significant legal changes that have affected firms' behavior. The introduction of age discrimination and disability discrimination legislation, an increase in the minimum wage and greater requirements for

firms to recycle are examples of relatively recent laws that affect an organizations actions. Legal changes can affect a firm's costs (e.g. if new systems and procedures have to be developed) and demand (e.g. if the law affects the likelihood of customers buying the good or using the service). Legal factors have nothing to effect in our nursery plant business. Now political factors, it refers to government policy such as the degree of intervention in the economy. What goods and services does a government want to provide? To what extent does it believe in subsidizing firms? What are its priorities in terms of business support? Political decisions can impact on many vital areas for business such as the education of the workforce, the health of the nation and the quality of the infrastructure of the economy such as the road and rail system. If the political situation of our country remains more stable and the government provides us more services and if the government takes suitable business plan then my nursery plant business will have a positive affect because people will be in peace, there basic needs will be fulfilled by the government so they will be more interested to engage in activities like planting plants, social activities, concerning about the environment.
