Description Sika RainTite waterproofing system consists of a combination of : Sika RainTite Waterproofing Compound Highly flexible UV resistant acrylic emulsion Sika RainTite Membrane Non-woven polyester membrane The system forms a fully bonded, durable, flexible waterproofing membrane Uses Concrete flat roofs Finishing Sealing joints, laps and roofing screws on various kind of roofs (roof tile, asbestos, zinc) Parapet walls External walls External weather & UV resistant Easy to use and apply No priming Excellent adhesion to most surfaces High flexibility Thixotropic Non toxic Will not promote fungal growth Without Membrane Consumption : 0.6 - 0.7 kg/m2 With Membrane Consumption : 2 - 2.4 kg/m2 Total Thickness 1 - 1.20 mm (cured system with membrane)

Instruction for Use


Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, sound and properly cured. Remove all loose materials mechanically, preferably with a wire brush. Iron and steel surfaces should be free of rust. Without Membrane : 2 Sika RainTite is applied in two coats (0.3 - 0.35 kg/m / coat), by brush or roller. With Membrane : 2 1. Apply a generous base coat (0.8 - 1 kg/m ) of Sika RainTite Waterproofing Compound by brush or roller. 2. Embed the Sika RainTite Membrane into the base coat while it is still wet. Ensure that the membrane is thoroughly embedded and smooth out all air pockets and creases. Overlaps of adjacent membrane must be a minimum of 50 mm. 3. Immediately apply a second coat (0.8 - 1 kg/m ) of Sika Rain Tile Waterproofing Compound while the base coat is still wet, to fully saturate the membrane from both sides. 4. When touch-dry, apply a final top coat (~ 0.4 kg/m ) to complete the application. Protect from rain until dry.

Cleaning Limitations

Remove uncured surface Sika RainTite with water. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. Ambient and surface temperatures must be between 5oC and 35oC during application. Do not attempt application if rain is imminent It is not recommended to apply screed mortar on top of Sika Raintite Avoid ponding water on top of Sika Raintite Avoid contact with skin and eyes Wear protective gloves and eye protection during work If skin contact occurs, wash skin thoroughly If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with warm water and seek medical attention without delay.
