Special education students often have problems in language and communication. This is because they have some conditions that are not the same as others. This problem has caused them to be difficult to communicate and use language properly. One of the problems faced by special education students is a problem to mention the sound of language. This may occur because they have problems at their
articulator. Most of the problems in terms of their articulator are the tongue cannot be softening when they want to pronouncing the sound of language.
This problem will cause the sound produced by their language cannot be perfectly sounded like everyone else. However, this problem can overcome with tongue
exercises. Teachers can teach the tongue exercises to students and parents so that they can practice it at home. The movement of these exercises is to move the tongue of the students who have difficulty sounding the sounds toward the top, bottom, left and right. In addition, the students tongue also needs to move in a circular clockwise and counterclockwise. The purpose of this exercise is to help students strengthen their tongues. In addition, these exercises can help students in language sounds perfectly sound. In addition, special education students also experienced problems in using the language. This is because; most special education students are having trouble in understanding the language. They are sometimes cannot understand what people around them saying to them. They also sometimes cannot deliver what they want to say because they do not know how to organize the structure of sentences. This may cause them to be quiet because they cannot properly convey the language and cannot
understand the language presented. Other language and communication problem faced by students of special
education is the problem of stuttering. This problem is a problem that caused the

smoothly. In addition, special education students also have problems in literacy. Many
special education students are having trouble remembering the letters that they have learned. Although they have learned about the letters, but they are still have the difficulties to understand and imagine it in their mind. This is because they do not reflect in their minds about what they have learned. Other factors that cause difficulty with literacy are, the special education students have difficulties to focus on their learning. In addition, some special education students have a low cognitive level from a normal student. Therefore, they have a problem to learn about anything. They also cannot relate about what they had learn in pass with the present. In addition, special education students have problem in a language usage. They have low level of reading skills, writing skills, listening and speaking skills. This problem may caused by they cannot master the simple language. This then may caused them more problematic in many languages and communication aspects. There are those among them who cannot master at least in some language skills and communication. This situation will prevent the development of social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual among the special education students. As teachers, we must use the correct method to boost their language skills and communication among these special education students. Teachers must use the proper techniques and use of teaching aids that may attract students to learn.
