Youth Cantata Guidelines
All members in each class should participate (Grade Six Fourth Year) 2. The choir shall sing two selections, one contest piece (in Filipino) and one choice piece (in English) with 50% and 50 % weight respectively Contest Piece: Tuloy na Tuloy Pa Rin ang Pasko 3. The choir should perform in either 2 - part, 3-part or 4-part singing 4. The choir should be accompanied by tape/CD. 5. Each group will be given eight (8) minutes to perform. Time starts and ends upon the entrance and exit of the choir members on the performance area. 6. There will be a deduction of points in the final score for those who will exceed in more than five point for every minute. 7. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable. CRITERIA 1. Voice Quality and Harmony (35 %) Beauty of tone, good intonation and breath control; tone focus, resonance, clarity of tones and warmth of soundUnity and synchronization of voices, timbre sound match, balance of tones, stylistic voicing. Song Interpretation (25 %) Stylistically valid interpretation such as control and range of dynamics, phrasing, expression. Choreography and Presentation (25 %) Artistic interpretation and choreography projected through dance movement as it relates to the Stage Presence / Costume / Attire (15%) 35 % 25 % 25 % 15% 100% selected music.

1. There should be only one entry for each class. 2. The Christmas Tree and the classroom decoration should be made of recycled waste materials. 3. The Christmas Tree should have a height of at least two (4) feet , of any design 4.
