    Sunnah Tarkiyah

    When I do Shaum Daud, I will be rewarded by Allahu Ta'ala, but when in


    11, 12 and 13 Dzulhijjah, the Sunnah of Fasting which is Sunnah Fi'liyah
    (Sunnah done by action), become Sunnah Tarkiyah (Sunnah done in not
    doing things).
    Because it is narrated that Rasulullah Shalallahu 'alaihi Shalawatu wa Sallam
    forbid people to do it.

    To me the Hikmah of the Sunnah Tarkiyah:

    1. Showing that it is not Fardhu, as sometimes it is to be avoided.

    2. Showing that it is not suppose to be done in specific time, because there is


    Maslahat to avoid doing it in that specific time.

    3. Showing that the action talk by itself and it got the Hikmah (good cause)
    behind it.

    And that to do Du'a after Shalat is Maqbul (accepted), that's why Rasulullah
    'alaihi Shalawatu wa Sallam did not raise his hands after that.

    Anoher example: when we do Shalat at sitting between Sujud, we say


    "Allahummaghfirlii...," we do not being ask to "raise the hand," because the
    "raising of the hand" and "the Du'a," is not "one."

    That Ibadah is Tauqifi, at Sujud we should pray as it is the best time for it,
    but the hands do not been ask to be lifted.

    Another example: There is no narration from Rasulullah Shalallahu 'alaihi


    Shalawatu wa Sallam which spoke that saying the 2nd "Allahu akbar," in
    Shalat Id as being complementary with "raising hands," the Hadits only
    spoke about raising hand once.

    So lifting the hands after Shalat, after Shalat at Du'a, is considered to be


    Sunnah Tarkiyah, that means, the raising of the hands in Du'a is Sunnah
    Fi'liyah and become Tarkiyah (neglected) at the time after the Shalat.
    And people will see your movement.

    I already wrote the Hikmah of that above.
