THEME: NOW IS THE TIME TO SING HIS PRAISES READING Did you know that understanding how to praise God allows us to appreciate His power, wisdom, and His awesome love for us? Now is the time to praise God through singing, so, what is praise? Praise means to commend, to applaud or magnify. For the Christian, praise to God is an expression of worship, lifting-up and glorifying the Lord. It is an expression of humbling ourselves and centering our attention upon the Lord with heart-felt expressions of love, adoration and thanksgiving. High praises bring our spirit into a pinnacle of fellowship and intimacy between ourselves and God it magnifies our awareness of our spiritual union with the most high God. Psalms 89:15 says Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. ROSHENA STEWART will give us our first item of praise

READING There are many actions involved with praise to God verbal expressions of adoration and thanksgiving, singing, playing instruments, shouting, dancing, lifting or clapping our hands. But true praise is not merely going through these motions. Jesus spoke

about the hypocrisy of the pharisees, whose worship was only an outward show and not from the heart. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me (Matthew 15:8). Genuine praise to God is a matter of humility and sincere devotion to the Lord from within. The Psalms are full of calls to praise God. They are helpful in teaching us how to praise. 1. We should Praise God for who He is. God is our Creator. He is Redeemer and Lord. We should Praise God for His character. Every aspect of Gods character is worthy of praise. His love, His goodness, His majesty, His integrity, His greatness, His faithfulness, and all the rest of His attributes are helpful in praising Him. We should Praise God for what He does. This includes what He has done in the past, what He is doing now, and what He has promised to do in the future. Just simply praise God for what He does for all of us.

TAJERAH AND COMPANY will give us another item of praise

READING We are praising God through music and The Lords messenger, Ellen G White, continually counsels us to raise our sights in music. She tells us, Music, when not abused, is a great blessing; but when it is put to a wrong use, it is a terrible curse. Rightly employed, music is a precious gift of God, designed to uplift the thoughts to high and noble themes, to inspire and elevate the souls. Jemar will now inspire us with a song of praise.

READING Our theme is Now is the time to sing His praises. Singing is not about perfect harmony. It is about playing the instrument of our heart in praise to God. It is an expression of our hearts deepest devotion toward the One who created us and saved us. Why do we sing praises to God?

SINGING IS PRAISE TO GOD AND HE IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE. WE SING TO GOD BECAUSE HE HATH TRIUMPHED GLORIOUSLY. WE SING TO GOD BECAUSE HE IS OUR STRENGTH. WE SING TO GOD BECAUSE HE IS OUR SALVATION. MALE GROUP ITEM OF PRAISE (ask Julie)

READING Did you know that praising God has the power to change our lives? Praise takes the mind off self and helps us identify God and His reality. It transforms the perspective from which we approach life and places us in the context of who God is. Praise helps us recognize God and His ability to impact our lives. It reminds us that He loves us and is deeply involved in the details of our daily living.

Kemar and Company will sing praises to God

READING Ellen G White writes: Singing is one of the most effective means of impressing the heart with spiritual truth. How often to the soul memory recalls some word of Gods and temptations lose their power, life takes on new meaning and new purpose, and courage and gladness are imparted to other souls! . . . As a part of religious service, singing is as much an act of worship as is prayer. Indeed, many a song is prayer. . . . Danielle Thompson will sing our final song of praise

CONCLUSION Let all that we are praise our Lord and King. Let our lives live to glorify His name. Let us give Him honor and praise, for He is worthy. He is the God of the ages, and the Lord of our days. Let us praise Him forever and ever. Vespers - Daren Anderson
