Prophets and Messengers of God the Almighty

So whatever thing you have been given it is but (for) enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs) [Quran 42:36]

Prophets and Messengers

Human Innate

Everyone is born with what we call Al-Fitra (i.e. Conscience or an innate morality). We all have a natural sense of right and wrong and an inclination (Al-Fitra) that bears witness to the existence of a Creator, the Lord of everything that exists. However, thats not enough to provide a comprehensive guidance for every aspect of our lives. And thats where we need a prophet to guide us to live as our Creator wants us to. Allah has been truly gracious to the believers in sending them a Messenger from among their own, to recite His revelations to them, to make them grow in purity, and to teach them the Scripture and wisdom- before that they were clearly astray. (Quran 3:164)

'Prophet' and 'Messenger' of God

Allah (God in Arabic) selected best persons out of the entire humanity as His prophets and messengers. Allah the Almighty sent messengers and prophets to guide mankind to the truth, so they could be purified of sins. In the Holy Quran, Allah has defined the duty of Prophets and Messengers as: The people used to be one nation, then God sent the prophets as bearers of good news and warners, and He sent down with them the Book with the truth so that they may judge between the people in what they were disputing. However, after receiving the clarity, the people disputed in it due to animosity between them. And God guided those who believed with His permission regarding what they disputed in of the truth. And God guides whoever He wishes to a straight path. (Quran 2:213) We have sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and We sent down with them the Book and the balance, so that the people may uphold justice... (Quran 57:25) Moreover, it is the belief of every Muslim that all Prophets are sinless and they are protected from major and minor sins, but some scholars have said that the Prophets are protected from major sins but not the minors. However, our belief is if they did a minor sin by mistake (and it's never purposefully); they asked for repentance and Allah the most Merciful accepted the repentance and wiped that sin away. Furthermore, it was in a way a lesson for the followers of the prophet that if they commit anything wrong they should regret it, and ask for forgiveness from the Almighty God.

Why did God send Prophets and Messengers?

Allah sent His messengers to every generation to guide mankind away from polytheistic and pagan disbelief, and returning to the straight path, that of worshiping God alone and establishing the laws of the Creator and his Prophets and Messengers, in order to bring about an upright and moral

society 'divinely guided' by the Perfect One. And to worship Allah means to obey Him and to do all that He has ordained, and to fear Him by abstaining from all that He has forbidden. And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. (Quran 10:47) Likewise, Allah says: And We have not sent the messengers except as bearers of good news and warners; whoever believes, and does good, then there is no fear for them nor will they grieve. (Quran 6:48) Those who were enlightened by the Messengers found the way to Divine presence and attained the highest rank of humanity. Allah the Almighty declared that he could not be contained by the heavens and the earth. He can be known and reached only through the hearts. This is why messengers led humanity to the knowledge of Allah the Almighty. Islam dates back to the age of Adam and its message has been conveyed to man by Allahs Prophets and Messengers including Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Moreover, Allah says in the Quran: Those to whom We have given the Book, and the law, and the prophet hood, if they reject it, then We will entrust it to people who will not reject it. (Quran 6:89)

Prophets mentioned in the Quran

There were several thousand prophets sent by the Almighty Allah. However, only 25 of them are mentioned in the Quran. (Arabic/English name) Adam Ibrahim / Abraham Yusuf / Joseph Dhul-Khifl Yunus / Jonah Idris / Enoch Ismail / Ishmael Shuaib Dawood / David Zakariyya/ Zachariah Nuh / Noah Ishaaq / Isaac Ayyoob / Job Sulaiman / Solomon Yahya / John the Baptist Hud Lut / Lot Musa / Moses Ilyas / Elijah Elias Isa / Jesus Salih Yaqoob / Jacob Haroon / Aaron Al-Yasa / Elisha Muhammad

However, it should be noted that according to some Islamic scholars, there have been over 124000 prophets sent by Allah. Belief in all of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah is a fundamental article of faith in Islam. AND MUSLIMS ARE OBLIGED TO HAVE FAITH IN ALL THE PROPHETS AND MESSENGERS.

Why were all the Prophets and Messengers Human?

Because, they were being sent to guide other human beings. Not only by preaching, but also as a personal example. Allah (God in Arabic) selected the best persons out of the entire humanity and presented them before the people as the finest example of how to live according to His will. The best way to change the evil habits of people is to disclose a perfect person to them who inculcates all the noble and good deeds in himself. It is an established fact that people imitate the habits and lifestyle of a person who is superior to them whether in terms of social status or blessings and virtues. So they had to be completely human to show other people how to live. According to Islam, each Prophet was himself the first follower of the guidance that God revealed through him for people to follow. This is why previous prophets are called 'Muslims' in the Holy Quran, being not only teachers but also followers of God's guidance. And We did not send any except men before you whom We inspired (sent revelation), so ask the people who have received the Reminder (scriptures) if you do not know. (Quran 16:43) Moreover, in Chapter 21 Allah says: And even before you [Muhammad], We only ever sent men whom We inspired, so ask people who know the Scripture if you [disbelievers] do not know. We did not give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they immortal. (Quran 21:7-8) Likewise, in Chapter 17 of the Holy Quran, Allah says: Nothing kept these people from believing, when the guidance came to them, except that they said, How could Allah have sent a human being as a messenger? Say, If there were angels walking around, living on earth, We would have sent them an angel from Heaven as a messenger. (Quran 17:9495)

How did Allah communicate with His Prophets and Messengers?

Allah communicated with His Prophets and Messengers through divine revelation. A few ways of such divine communications are as follows: 1. God revealed the Guidance through natural intuition. Allah directly inspired the Prophet without the medium of an angel. The inspiration was directly on the heart of the Prophet and it was not conveyed through any voice or through any of his (the Prophets) senses. 2. The dreams of the prophets were divinely inspired, and a way through which God communicated with His prophets. 3. Revelation disclosed upon the sound of a bell. According to Aisha (wife of Muhammad [PBUH]), the Holy Prophet (PBUH) himself stated that: Sometimes revelation comes to me after a bell rings and that is a heavy time for me. (Bukhari) 4. God communicated with His prophets through the Angels.

5. God directly communicated with His prophets i.e. Moses (PBUH) and Muhammad (PBUH). This also was not through any angel. The Prophet heard the voice different from the voice of human beings; (and the process was beyond human conception as Allah knows the best).

The message conveyed by each Prophet

Ever since people innovated the dogma of joining others in worship along with Allah, Allah had been sending Prophets and Messengers to His devotees in order to invite them to the worship of Allah and Allah Alone, to order them not to ascribe partners unto Him and bring them out of the darkness of polytheism and into the light of Monotheism. Allah said in the holy Quran: And I (Allah) created not the jinn (created with smokeless fire) and men except they should worship Me (Alone) (Quran 51:56). All the Prophets preached the belief in the Oneness of Allah. They also taught moral and spiritual values as the fundamental basis for the Orders and Peace in the world. Of course, the details of the teachings differed according to the nation and the time in which a Prophet appeared. God the Almighty says in the Quran: And obey God and obey the messenger, and be aware. If you turn away, then know that it is the duty of the messenger to deliver clearly. (Quran 5:92) Moreover, the Prophets and Messengers of God delivered only what was given to them by God. So, the orders and instructions of a Prophet are obligatory for his followers and they cannot denounce any of these commands. God the Almighty said: "And ask those of our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint gods to be worshiped besides the Most Gracious!" [43:45] (We in the above verse is used as Royal We) It is not for any human being that God would give him the book and the authority and the prophet-hood, and then he would say to the people: be servants to me rather than God! Rather: Be devotees for what you have been taught in the book, and of what you have studied. (Quran 3:79)

Ranks of Prophets
All Prophets were equally from God, and equally true, but the scope of their missions varied. The Divine messengers before the Prophet Muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM) were given teachings limited to their respective nations. Furthermore, the teachings of each Prophet applied for a limited period of time only, after which God raised another Prophet to revise some of the teachings according to the new circumstances. However, finally, the time came to unite all the nations upon a single religion so that mankind may live in peace as one nation. For this purpose, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was being sent; God gave him teachings for the whole world and for all the times to come.

Muslims have to believe in all the prophets and messengers of God, equally, without distinction, wherever they may have appeared. In the Holy Quran, it is stated clearly: "Say (O Muslims), We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and to AlAsbat (the offspring of twelve sons of Jacob), and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him, we have submitted. (Quran 2:136) The Messenger (Muhammad [PBUH]) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers- and they say, We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord and to You is the return (of all). (Quran 2:285)

The Nations Punished By Allah

God the Almighty sent His prophets with clear signs but there were some nations, which rejected their prophets and their miracles. About them, Allah says in the Quran: The messenger is only to deliver. And God knows what you reveal and what you conceal. (Quran 5:99) The Prophets and Messengers were usually sent to a group of people who indulged in specific sins. Sometimes the people listened to their prophets. And sometimes in their arrogance they didnt. Those that did not, were punished by Allah. Whoever is guided is guided for himself, and whoever is misguided is for his own loss. And no person shall carry the burdens of another, and We were not to punish until We send a messenger. (Quran17:15) And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e., do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). (Qur'an 16:36) Here is a list of some Prophets in Islam whose people did not listen and received the punishment of Allah: 1. Noah [PEACE BE UPON HIM] He exhorted his people to stop worshiping idols and only worship Allah according to true monotheism. Nuh (Noah in Arabic) called his people towards Islam for around 950 years. In all that time, only a few people accepted his call. Even Noahs own son and wife rejected the truth. Allah punished them with a great flood that is still spoken of to this day in almost every civilization. (In Quran the story of Prophet Nuh [PBUH] is described in Chapter 71 al-Nuh http://quran.com/71 and in Chapter 11: http://quran.com/11/25-49 ).

2. Hud [PEACE BE UPON HIM] He was sent to the people of Ad (now Yemen). Hud [PBUH] also tried to guide his people towards Islamic monotheism. The Ad mostly derided and insulted Hud [PBUH] and continued to worship idols. Allah punished them by causing a severe drought, then sending a great cloud. The Ad thought this cloud would bring rain, but it only brought a mighty wind that destroyed their entire civilization. Allah the Almighty states in Chapter 11 Al-Hud of Quran: And to Ad people, We sent their brother Hud. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (god) but Him; certainly, you do nothing but invent (lies)! O my people I ask of you no reward for it (the Message). My reward is only from Him Who created me. Will you not then understand? And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, He will send you (from the sky) abundant rain, and add strength to your strength, so do not turn away as Mujrimeen (criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah)." They said: "O Hud! No evidence have you brought us and we shall not leave our gods for your mere saying! We are not believers in you. All that we say is that some of our gods (false deities) have seized you with evil (madness)". He said: "I call Allah to witness and bear you witness that I am free from that which you ascribe as partners in worship, and with Him (Allah). So plot against me, all of you, and give me no respite. I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature, but HE has grasped of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth). So if you turn away, still I have conveyed the Message with which I was sent to you. My Lord will make other people succeed you, and you will not harm Him in the least. Surely, my Lord is Guardian over all things". And when Our Commandment came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him by a Mercy from Us, and We saved them from a severe torment. Such were Ad (people). They rejected the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations etc.) of their Lord and disobeyed His Messenger, and followed the command of every proud, obstinate (oppressor of the truth from their leaders). (Ch 11:50-59 Quran) 3. Salih [PEACE BE UPON HIM] This prophet was sent among the people of Thamud who also worshiped idols. The Thamud lived in magnificent buildings carved into the sides of mountains and hills. They refused to worship Allah unless Salih [PBUH] brought them a miracle. So Allah caused a huge rock to split and brought a she-camel out of it. Most of the Thamud still disbelieved even slaughtered the she-camel, so they were punished with a series of violent earthquakes. In the Holy Quran, it is described as: "And to the Thamud, We sent their brother Salih. He said: 0' my people: Serve Allah. You have no god other than Him. Clear proof, indeed, has come to you from your Lord. This is as Allah's she-camel for you, a sign. Therefore, leave her alone to pasture on God's earth and do not do her any harm. Otherwise painful chastisement will overtake you. And remember when He made you successors after Ad and settled you in the land. You made mansions on its

plains and hew out houses in the mountains; remember, therefore, Allah's benefits and do not act corruptly in the land making mischiefs. The Chiefs of those who behaved proudly among his people said to those who were considered weak, to those who believed from among them: Are you sure that Salih is sent by his Lord? They said: Surely, we are believers in what he has been sent with. Those who were haughty said: Surely, we deny what you believe in. So they slew the she-camel and revolted against their Lord's Commandments and they said: O' Salih! Bring us what you have threatened us with if you are one of the Apostles. Then the earthquake overtook them, so they became motionless bodies in their abodes". (Quran 7:73-78) 4. Lot [PEACE BE UPON HIM] The people of Sodom and Gomorrah practiced homosexuality openly and in secret. The Prophet Lut (Lot in English) was sent to them to warn them of the punishment of Allah. Lut encouraged them to repent for their sins and worship Allah alone. When they refused, Allah sent two angels to warn Lut of the pending destruction. Lot and his family (except his wife who was not a believer) fled the town. Allah sent a storm of stones and earthquakes. The entire city was destroyed. Allah has revealed it in the Quran as follows: The people of Lot (those dwelt in the cities of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So, Fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. No compensation can I ask you for this (Message of Islamic Monotheism) my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. You go to the males of the worlds, and leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? No, you are trespassing people! They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." He said: I am really, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). My Lord, save me and my family for what they do. So We saved him and his family, all except one old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. Then afterward We destroyed the others.(Quran 26:160-172) 5. Shuayb [PEACE BE UPON HIM] Shuayb was sent to the people of Midian. The Midianites were excellent tradesmen but resorted to cheating and lying about their wares. They were also bandits who would rob travelers on the roads. Shuayb tried to guide them towards Islamic monotheism but they refused. When Allah decreed their punishment, Shuayb and his few followers fled the city. Allah sent a mighty blast that flattened all of Midian killing everyone and leaving them in a prostrating position. In the Quran, it is described as: And to [the people of] Madyan [We sent] their brother Shuayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to

you clear evidence from your Lord. So fulfill the measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due and cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. That is better for you, if you should be believers. And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters. And if there should be a group among you who has believed in that with which I have been sent and a group that has not believed, then be patient until Allah judges between us. And He is the best of judges." Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people, "We will surely evict you, O Shuayb, and those who have believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion." He said, "Even if we were unwilling?" We would have invented against Allah a lie if we returned to your religion after Allah had saved us from it. And it is not for us to return to it except that Allah, our Lord, should will. Our Lord has encompassed all things in knowledge. Upon Allah we have relied. Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give the decision." Said the eminent ones who disbelieved among his people, "If you should follow Shuayb, indeed, you would then be losers." So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone. Those who denied Shuayb - it was as though they had never resided there. Those who denied Shuayb - it was, they who were the losers. And he turned away from them and said, "O my people; I had certainly conveyed to you the messages of my Lord and advised you, so how could I grieve for disbelieving people?" (Quran 7:85-93) 6. Musa [PEACE BE UPON HIM] Moses [PBUH] was sent to the people of Israel, who were enslaved to the Egyptians at that time. Moses [PBUH] and his brother Aaron [PBUH] had a mission to guide the Pharaoh of Egypt towards Islam, and encourage him to free the Israelites. Pharaoh, believing he was a god, refused on both counts. Allah sent several punishments to the Egyptians, including drought, flooding, locusts, frogs and lice. When it became apparent that Pharaoh would not relent, Musa and the Israelites fled Egypt in the middle of the night. When Pharaoh found out his slaves were running away, he led an army in pursuit. The Israelites stopped in front of a sea that could not be crossed. Allah caused the sea to split apart and Moses [PBUH] and his people crossed on dry land. When Pharaoh saw this, he tried to cross also. However, when his army reached the middle of the sea, Allah brought the waters together, drowning them all. When Pharaoh saw that his death was imminent, he said: I believe in the God of Moses [PBUH]. Nevertheless, it was too late by then. He will be in one of the deepest levels of Hell because of his claim to be the god. In the Quran, it is described in Chapter 7 as: http://quran.com/7/103-170 Allah didnt punish any nation until He sent a messenger to guide them. And in the Quran, it is narrated as:

And your Lord was not to destroy the towns until He sends a messenger to their capital, to recite Our revelations to them. And We do not destroy the towns unless its people are wicked. (Quran 28:59)

The Message of God from Moses to Jesus to Muhammad (peace be upon them all)
Mankind has gone through periods when they did not have Messengers and Messages from Allah for a long time as a result of which changes crept into the religion. Whether by a deliberate attempt to alter the teachings or through a sincere but misguided effort to do good, or even by knowledge simply being lost or forgotten or confused over time, parts of the religion were discarded and new foreign practices were added in, to the point that this was no longer the same religion. And so the people fell into the traps of illusions and myths, they prayed to natural phenomena and heavenly bodies, or idols that could neither benefit nor harm them. At the same time, they were subjected to humiliation by those who claimed divinity, such as the Pharaohs and others. So to Guide the humanity, God sent His Prophets and Messengers. According to Islam, the believing Jews were upon the truth right up until they rejected the prophets who followed (i.e., John the Baptist and Jesus Christ), their teachings and, in the case of Jesus, the revelation he conveyed. In this manner, the Jews lived in submission to God not on His terms, but on their terms. When God sent prophets or revelation they didnt like, they chose to remain upon the religion of their forefathers rather than upon the religion of God. In this manner, they fell into disobedience and disbelief. Allah mentioned it in the Quran as: And We gave Moses the Book, and after him We sent the messengers. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, the clear proofs, and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that every time a messenger comes to you with what your souls do not desire, you become arrogant? A group of them you deny, and a group of them; you kill! (Quran 2:87) Verily, We did send down the Torah (to Moses), therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allahs Will, judged for the Jews. And the Rabbis and the priests [too judged for the Jews from the Torah after those Prophets], for to them was entrusted the protection of Allahs Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the Kafirun (disbelievers of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allahs Laws) [Quran 5:44] Similarly, Jesus followers were upon the truth, right up until they rejected the final prophet (i.e., Muhammad [PBUH]). Again, Jesus followers submitted to God, but only on their terms. And thats not good enough. When called upon to honor the final revelation (i.e., the Holy Quran) and the prophet who conveyed it (i.e., Muhammad [PBUH]), they rejected and fell into the same disobedience and disbelief as their Jewish cousins. And in the Holy Quran, it is described as: (And when JESUS came as a Messenger to the children of Israel, he said,) "I have come to you with a clear Sign from your Lord: in your very presence, I make the likeness of a bird out of clay and breathe into it and it becomes, by God's Command, a bird. I heal those born blind and the lepers and I bring to life the dead by God's Command: I inform you of what you eat and what you store up in your houses. Surely, there is a great Sign for you in all this, if you have a mind to believe. And I have come to confirm those teachings of the

Guidance of the Torah which are intact in my time. Lo! I have come with a clear Sign from your Lord; so fear God and obey me. Indeed, God is my Lord, and also your Lord; therefore, worship Him alone: that is the straight way." However, when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah. We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]. Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth]." Then the children of Israel began to plot (against Jesus) and God also devised His secret plan, and God is the best of devisers. (It was to carry out His secret plan, that) He said, "O Jesus, now I will recall you and raise you up to Myself and cleanse you of (the uncongenial company and the filthy environment of ) those who have rejected you and will set up those who follow you above those who have rejected you till the Day of Resurrection. And ultimately all of you shall return to Me: then I will judge between you in what you differ, and punish with a grievous punishment, both in this world and in the Hereafter, those who have adopted the attitude of disbelief and rejection and they shall have none to help them. And those, who have believed and done good deeds, shall be given their rewards in full. And note it well that God does not like the transgressors." (Quran 3:49-57) And about the crucifixion of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him), it is mentioned in Quran: And (for) their saying (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah"; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety, they killed him not. (Quran 4:157) God sent his messengers to warn the people but there were some people who denied them, and became persistent on their disobedience. About them, Allah says in the Quran: Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning, in order that mankind should have no plea against God after the (coming of) Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. (Quran 4: 165)

Seal of Prophet Hood

Every Prophet was sent into his own nation for their guidance, but the Message of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was general for all mankind and jinn (a being created from smokeless flames). Say [O Muhammad (PBUH)]: O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allah. (Quran 7:158)

Moreover, Allah says about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): O prophet, We have sent you as a witness, and a bearer of good news, and a warner. (Quran 33:45) Whoever obeys the messenger, has obeyed God; and whoever turns away, We have not sent you as a guardian over them (Quran 4:80) "None has the right to be followed after Allah's Book (the Quran), except Allah's Messenger Muhammad [PBUH]". Allah says in the Holy Quran: "And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad [PBUH]) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it)." (Quran 59:7) Moreover, God the Almighty took a promise from all Prophets (peace be upon them all) to believe and support Muhammad (peace be upon him), and it is mentioned in the Holy Quran as: "God took a covenant from the prophets, saying, "I will give you the scripture and wisdom. Afterwards, a messenger will come to confirm all existing scriptures. You shall believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you agree with this, and pledge to fulfil this covenant?" They said, "We agree." He said, "You have thus borne witness, and I bear witness along with you". (Quran 3:81) Islams message has been restored and enforced in the last stage of the religious evolution by Allahs final Prophet and Messenger Muhammad (PBUH). Mohammed is not the father of any of your men, but he is the messenger of God and the seal of the prophets. And God is fully aware of all things. (Quran 33:40)
