This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
This week in circle time we will continue practicing weather. We now do this every day as it is part of our morning routine. Each day a different student gets to put the arrow on the weather board pointing to the correct weather picture. This week we will begin learning the days of the week as it is also part of our new morning routine. Students will learn the days of the week in English as well as match them to the correct colour that is learned in their Thai class. Each day we will say what day it is today, what day it was yesterday and what day it will be tomorrow. To help your child become familiar and more confident with learning the weather and days of the week as your child every morning before school what the weather is and what day it is today. Vocabulary includes: sunny, rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, stormy, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Prepositions
Activity Time

Vocabulary: in, on, under, in front of, by, behind, in between Sentence structure(s): Question Where is it? Response It is (under) the table. Question Is it (on) the chair? Response Yes it is or no it is not (on) the chair. Song(s): In, on, under Activities: Preposition friend: students will make a cut and paste friend to later be used in this weeks lessons. The friend will be an aid to the students. Students will be asked to put their friend in different places around the classroom, for example, put your friend on the chair. Games: Where is it? This game is interchangeable. One way to play is teacher will have an object and place it around the classroom in different prepositional locations. For example, I will put a frog toy under the table. Students then have to tell me where the frog is. This game can also be played by giving each student a small toy and asking groups of students to place the toy in different places around the room. For example, all students with the red dinosaur place it in front of the board. Reading: The Hungry Shark

Phonics
