AIR-CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION NAVAL SHIPS

Supply of tailor-made systems and equipment including special requirements for lightweight, shock resistant, apparatus cooling and NBC protection.

AIR-CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION

HI-PRES HVAC MARINE Hi-Pres HVAC Marine is widely acknowledged as a leading supplier of quality marine HVAC systems. We have the capability to plan, design, produce, deliver, test and commission HVAC systems and equipment for any ship. DESIGN AND ENGINEERING Hi-Pres HVAC Marine has a qualified staff for designing, engineering, project management, commissioning and supervision for all types of ships. The computer transmission calculation of heating/ cooling load is done on our own developed program. Our design department handles all drawings and design of air pipe systems for supply and exhaust, room layout drawings, diagrams for heating and cooling medium, NBC systems, electric diagrams, PLC control diagrams, noise calculations, shock calculations, technical documentation and maintenance plans. SYSTEM SELECTION Hi-Pres HVAC Marine is specialized in highpressure air-conditioning systems with small duct NAVAL EXPERIENCE The first system for a navy ship was supplied in 1957; it was 20 minesweepers for the German navy. Since 1957 this number has risen to over 500 systems for navy ship of all types. No matter if the target is high-speed, high-reliability, heavy-shock resistant, NBC protection etc. Hi-Pres HVAC Marine can supply a tailor-made system fulfilling all your demands. Hi-Pres HVAC Marine expertise and experience: design of compact high-pressure systems design of low-noise systems design of lightweight systems design of control systems with communication to the ship IPMS design for shock demands design and supply of full NBC protection supply of high-quality HVAC components supply of apparatus cooling systems supply of chilled water cooling plants responsibility to deliver turnkey projects dimensions, low sound power level and individual control in the cabins. No dampers and silencers are necessary in the high-pressure duct system, and small ducts (from OD 80mm) make it easy for the yard to install and assure the correct air flow with no compromises.

PRODUCTS Hi-Pres HVAC Marine has its own production of key HVAC components; air-handling units, axial flow fans, centrifugal fans, air heaters, dampers, cabin units and control systems. For additional supply, Hi-Pres HVAC Marine has selected partners for the best products available on the market to complete the product line.

SHOCK The two basic approaches for shock design are: mitigate the base excitation by using shock isolation or design the equipment to resist the worst case shock event. Where possible, the components are designed to be placed on shock isolators. YORK Novenco standard equipment is of high quality and suitable for low shock. The equipment will be modified for heavy shock according to calculation and test results. YORK Novenco equipment is designed for heavy shock: AHU by calculation, NBC units by testing, fans by calculation, cabin units by testing, control valves by testing and chillers by calculation. NOISE Since the first noise recommendations were introduced, Hi-Pres HVAC Marine has developed a wide range of low-noise equipment especially designed for the marine market. General noise problems arise because of too little space available, bad design or mounting. Fans should be designed for maximum efficiency and the right supply boxes should be selected. Hi-Pres HVAC Marine produces supply boxes that easily keep the noise level down to 45dB (A) even in the high-pressure system. SERVICE AND SPARE PARTS YORK Novenco Service and Parts can offer service and repair of HVAC systems for all kinds of ships, and can supply spare parts regardless of ship type and size. The upgrading and maintenance of HVAC systems include design and engineering. YORK Novenco is represented worldwide via our agents and dealers. This means we are reachable 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide.

NBC Hi-Pres HVAC Marine can design NBC protection for any navy ship. The filter elements offered are manufactured according to NATO STANAG 4447. The NBC filter contains a HEPA filter, which removes fine particles down to 0.3 microns, including bacteria, and a gas filter, which removes chemical and radiac warfare agents in the form of gases or vapours by adsorption to the activated charcoal filling. Hi-Pres HVAC Marine offers a very lightweight and flexible system that can be built in at even very narrow spaces available. It can be sized for any ship and crew size.
