UsingHeadphones
TolistentoyourDAB+RadioviaHeadphones,youwillrequireheadphoneswitha3.5mmdiameterstereoplug(not included).TheHeadphoneSocketislocatedonthebackoftheunit.PlugtheHeadphoneJackintotheHeadphone socket,thespeakersoundwillautomaticallyturnoffoncetheheadphoneispluggedin.

TurningonyourDAB+Radio
1. ConnectthePowerleadtothepowersocketonthebackoftheunit.Thenconnectthepowerleadtothemains walloutlet. 2. Toswitchon,turntheOn/Off&VolumeControltotheright.PresstheDAB+Button.WhenDABModeis selectedforthefirsttime,thedisplaywillilluminateandwelcometoDABwillbedisplayed.Thencarefully extendantennaforthebestpossiblereception. 3. WhenyouturnonyourDAB+Radioforthefirsttimeitwillconductafullstationscanandstorealltheavailable RadioStationsinthestationslist.Thismaytakeafewminutes.

AdjustingtheVolume

DRCaddsorremovesadegreeofcompressiontocompensateforthedifferenceinthedynamicrangebetweenradio stations.Forexample,astationbroadcastingpopularmusicmayahighlevelofcompressionappliedsincethe emphasisisonaconstanthighlisteninglevel,whereasastationbroadcastingclassicalmusicwillhavelittleorno compressionasthelistenerrequiresallofthehighsandlowsinthemusictodefinethedetail. Therearethreelevelsofcompression: DRC0Nocompressionapplied. DRC1MaximumCompressionapplied(thisisthedefault). DRCMediumCompressionapplied.

AdjustingtheVolume
Toadjustthevolumeturnthevolumewheel,locatedonthetopoftheradio.Toincreasethevolumeturnittothe rightandtodecreasethevolumeturnthewheeltotheleft.

ToneDial
