Equiplite Soft Connector use high tensile alloy and DSK 75 ULTRA loops to take the connection load. This allows the NS Connector to be extremely light (at least 80% to 90% less than traditional stainless fittings assemblies of the same load). Extremely low weight and lower windage for the main gives improved performance Equiplite Reef Blocks are similar in design to Equiplite snatch blocks. Since the super yachts are increasingly larger and the sails lighter, Equiplite light weight reef blocks decrease damage to the sails and increase their life span significantly. There is the possibility to take the reef line inclusive blocks very quickly from the sail if you dont need it in normal wind condition.

The VHi Load Equiplite TURBO roller blocks are produced using carbon composite side plates, with high-tensile Hard coated - anodized aluminium body and sheave. The bearing is designed for VHi Loads and reduces friction. Wider rollers allow increased radial loads. Larger Balls take both radial loads and side loads. A slightly wider Equiplite TURBO block can achieve approx. 2x the load for a given size weight and cost compared to traditional blocks. With dry operation; Teflon inserts lubricate during use, reduce friction in balls and rollers, Blocks have unmatched impact and wear resistance. Two in one lock connector

To make the system as compact as possible. The halyard or lock system can be build in the
top swivel bayonet. With this custom top swivel it can be used also as a Halyard Swivel. 2-1 system.
The Genoa | Staysail is a structural furler that can stay permanently in position. The drum is fitted on deck and connected to the top swivel by an anti torsion cable that replaces the head stay. The sail is lashed to the swivel or locked on the swivel to be able to lower it easily. For max sail performance. The weight saved compared to classical reefing system (fixed rod stay + furling system) is approximately well over 70%!

Equiplite Top Down-Kit: is the lightest in weight, efficient and lightest in furling... Equiplite Top Down furling systems use DSK 75 ULTRA. Top down furling is not a new idea, it has been used on small MPS Gennaker for many years. The development of the new advanced Equiplite top-down furling system technology however, has now opened up the opportunity for grand prix race teams and superyachts to benefit from the increased performance, handling and safety aspects of these systems. They typically weigh at least 60 % less than competitive assemblies of the same load specifications
How does the top-down drum system work

Top-down furling is for use with loose Luff asymmetric sails. The head of the sail is attached, with the top of the anti-torsion furling cable, to an Equiplite top swivel unit which is hoisted up the mast on a halyard. The bottom of the cable is attached to the Equiplite top-down furling drum at the bow. The tack of the sail attaches to a freely rotating swivel above the furling unit with an Equiplite quick loop. When the furling drum is turned, the bottom of the cable turns but the bottom of the sail does not. The torque commences the furl, starting up the full length of the cable where it quickly starts to turn the head of the sail. The furl pulls in the luff and leech of the sail and the Gennaker is literally zipped close, from the head down the Luff.
The loads on these systems are much less than on straight luff sails such as Code 0s which translates into a much less expensive system because, with the top-down modification kit, your Equiplite Code 0 furler can also be used for Gennaker furling.

Non corrosive, lightweight replacements for stainless steel pad eyes and U bolts. Equiplite Soft Deck Loops using UV tolerant DSK 75 ULTRA loops take the load. Unlike metal these loops will take full MWL from any direction. Making the deck loops more compact. Non corrosive, lightweight replacements for traditional stainless steel hanks. Boats like Wild Oats, Alfa Romeo, V70 Teams and RC44 Teams have gone with Equiplites soft sail hank for offshore racing for performance and safety. Since they offer lower weight and windage compare to traditional stainless hanks. Cruising yachts use the soft sail hank for their replacements for the heavy stainless steel connectors for the stay sail.

Equiplite Coating is a soft, highly flexible, lightfast polyester-based aqueous aliphatic polyurethane dispersion. To increase the life time and performance of the loops. We advise to coat the loops every 2 months.

Characteristics
Outstanding abrasion resistance. Gives soft, highly extensible, tough films with very dry feel. Gives high clarity films, which do not discolour on exposure to daylight. Normal high gloss finish may be modified by the addition of recommended duller. Equiplite coating is a PU dispersion, which you dry to form fully polymerized films.
Packing and storage

Store in closed container of 250 ml. at ambient temperature (10-30C). Fears frost with a shelf life under these conditions of at least 12 months.

This allows the 3D LT Connector to be extremely light (at least 90% less than traditional stainless fittings assemblies of the same load). Correct fair lead | compact | less windage, quick and easy to operate compared to traditional stainless fittings.
