ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Admission is offered subject to the following conditions:

1. The selected candidates should send in a D.D. (for the fee payable by them) in favour of the
Registrar, CIEFL, so as to reach the Dean’s Office on or before 25th July 2007. If they do not do
so, i.e. if the D.D.s do not reach the Dean’s Office by 25th July 2007, the admission offered to
such candidates will automatically stand cancelled and the seats will be offered to the next
candidates on the waiting list. Fess once paid are not normally refunded.

2. The selected candidates, after sending the fee in advance, should report for registration at 10 a.m.
on 1.8.2007. Their registration will be confirmed only on production of the required original
certificates.

WAITLISTED CANDIDATES

If any vacancies are found to exist, i.e. if the D.D.s from the selected candidates are not received by 25 July
2007, those vacancies will be notified on the Institute website by the evening of 25.7.2007. The information
will also be available over the phone (040-27090164). The waitlisted candidates who will consequently be
granted admission should report at 10 a.m. on 1.8.2007.

HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION.

Hostel accommodation is not available to local candidates. Outstation candidates will be considered for
shared accommodation subject to availability. If admission is offered, the candidates should pay mess
charges for the whole year (9 months in advances as deposit (Rs.6000/-) as DD in the name of Warden,
CIEFL Hostels, Hyderabad. After working out the actual mess bill for each month, the deposit will be
adjusted.

The fee may be paid in the form of a DD drawn in favour of the Registrar,CIEFL, Hyderabad.

Any fees/dues payable by the candidates to the Institute with regard to courses they may have
pursued earlier at CIEFL should be paid before registering for the present course.
All the candidates should bring their original certificates (including Caste Certificates,
Visually/Physically challenged certificates, etc to claim reservation) for verification.

Candidates who are yet to submit their M.Phil. dissertations can join Ph.D. Programmes only after
submission of their M.Phil. dissertation.

Admission letters will be issued separately for each selected candidate.

Candidates admitted to Ph.D. (distance mode) will be informed by the Centre for English Studies,
School of Distance Education.
