Learning standards/Curriculum specification: By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to: 5.1.1: use prepositions correctly and appropriately: a) in b) behind c) under d) in front of 1.1.1: listen to and follow: a) simple instructions. 2.2.2: read and understand simple and compound sentences Previous knowledge : Pupils have already learnt about animals.
Learning outcome/Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: 1. show the correct use of prepositions by placing the animal pictures according to the teachers action. 2. listen to the Where is the Animal sentences and place the animal pictures in correct position. 3. read the sentences in match the sentences exercise and match the sentences with the pictures.

Power point presentation refers to appendix 2. Box and pictures of animals refer to appendix 3. Where is the Animal Sentences: 1. The cat is in the box. 2. The horse is behind the box. 3. The dog is under the box. 4. The mouse is on front of the box. Teachers action: 1. Teacher places the picture of cat in the box. 2. Teacher places the picture of horse behind the box. 3. Teacher places the picture of dog under the box. 4. Teacher places the picture of mouse in front of the box. Task sheets refer to appendix 4.
1. Teacher shows a power point presentation about preposition. 2. Teacher reads the presentation and asks pupils to follow. 3. Teacher divides pupils into pairs. 4. Teacher gives each pairs a small box with pictures of animals. 5. Teacher reads the Where is the Animal sentences and shows the action with the pictures and the box. 6.
