EXT. WOODS - AFTERNOON Fade in: LIMA, female in her early 20s, is wandering through the forest. She comes across a flower she likes and picks it. She is taking in everything around her, enjoying the outdoors. Soon Lima comes across a half eaten Snickers bar. She stops and stares at it. She looks around as if looking for the owner of the candy bar before picking it up and hiding it in her pocket. She sits down under a near by tree and begins eating the candy bar. As she finishes eating the candy bar there is a voice in the distance. NESTOR (O.S) Lima! Lima stops chewing. NESTOR (O.S) Lima! (beat) Dinner is ready! Lima quickly swallows the last bite and licks her fingers before running off toward the voice. INT. DINNING ROOM - AFTERNOON. The dining room is in a rustic cabin in the woods. Everything in the cabin is made from wood. NESTOR, male in his mid 40s, is setting the dining room table for dinner. Lima enters from the back door carrying the flowers she picked. She heads to the kitchen sink to wash her hands. NESTOR Where did you go? LIMA Out past the trees. NESTOR You shouldnt go that far. The trail is near there. LIMA I just wanted to pick some flowers. Lima hands the flowers to Nestor. (CONTINUED)

NESTOR Pretty. Nestor takes the flowers and puts them in a cup of water before putting the cup on the table. Lima finishes washing her hands then takes a seat at the table. Nestor goes back in the kitchen. He returns a moment later with their dinner. He sets one plate in front of Lima and one plate in front of his seat. Both plates have a steak, green beans, and a baked potato on them. LIMA Steak? Nestor sits at the table across from Lima and takes her hands. NESTOR Dear Lord, thank you for this meal which you have blessed us with. Let us eat it in remembrance of you. Lord let us also thank you for bringing Lima into my life. Four years ago you put her in my life and I knew that she would be mine. Each day has been a blessing since. In your name we pray. Amen. They release hands. Nestor picks up his tableware and begins to eat. Lima is just staring at her food. LIMA Has it really been four years? NESTOR Four years today. (beat) Doesnt feel like it does it? LIMA No. They sit in silence while Nestor eats. Lima still hasnt touched her food. NESTOR Why arent you eating? LIMA Im not hungry.

NESTOR Yes you are. Eat. LIMA I dont want steak. NESTOR Eat the rest then. LIMA I dont want it either. NESTOR It is a special occasion, so eat your dinner. LIMA No. NESTOR DAMN IT LIMA! Eat your goddamn dinner! Lima is shaken, but picks up her tableware and begins to pick at the food. NESTOR Sorry. (beat) I didnt mean to yell at you. This is a special meal and I want you to enjoy it. Lima remains silent and continues picking. NESTOR When you are finished with your dinner there is a cake in the oven. Lima looks up at Nestor surprised. NESTOR Its chocolate. Lima now begins to eat her food more willingly. Nestor smiles and continues to finish his meal. Fade out:

INT. DINNING ROOM - NIGHT Fade in: Nestor and Lima have finished dinner. There is an empty plate with cakes crumbs in front of Nestor. Lima is putting the last piece of cake in her mouth. NESTOR Did you enjoy dinner? LIMA Yes, thank you. NESTOR And the cake? LIMA That was my favorite part. Nestor smiles. NESTOR Im glad you liked it. Lima smiles. NESTOR (beat) I am planning on going into town tomorrow to pick up a few things. Is there anything you need? LIMA Will you get me a new book? NESTOR Sure. Anything in particular? LIMA Something with magic. NESTOR Okay, I will see what I can find. Nestor gets up from the table and carries his plate into the kitchen. Lima follows his lead and takes her plate into the kitchen as well. Cut-to:

5. INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT Nestor puts his plate in the sink with the other dishes. Lima enters and puts her plate in the sink too. Lima grabs a sponge and soap to begin washing the dishes. As Lima is putting soap on the sponge Nestor comes up behind Lima and wraps his arms around her and starts kissing her neck. LIMA I need to wash the dishes. NESTOR (still kissing Lima) You can do it tomorrow. LIMA The food will be stuck to the plates. NESTOR Then soak them through the night. LIMA But it will beNESTOR Do it tomorrow! Nestor is now being very aggressive with Lima. He grabs her waist and spins her around so that she is facing him. He moves in closer to her and pins her against the sink while he continues kissing and biting her neck. LIMA Nestor please, not tonight. Nestor moves up her neck and tries to kiss Lima on the mouth, but Lima turns away. Nestor grabs Limas jaw and turns it towards him before kissing her on the mouth. Lima tries pushing away but isnt strong enough. In a last ditch effort she knees Nestor in his crotch. Nestor stumbles backward and doubles over. Now having space to move, Lima makes a move to escape the kitchen. As she takes her first step Nestor grabs Limas hand. NESTOR I thought we were past this Lima! Lima yanks her arm away from Nestor. From the momentum of Limas arm Nestor falls to the ground. Lima runs from the kitchen.

Cut to: INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT Lima runs into the living room trying to escape Nestor. She runs over to the fireplace and grabs the poker to use as a weapon. She holds the poker like a baseball bat ready to defend herself if it comes down to it. She waits for Nestor to enter. Nestor doesnt enter. After a minute of waiting Lima starts to relax. She sets the poker down and slowly begins walking back toward the kitchen. Cut to: INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT Lima cautiously enters the kitchen to she Nestor on the ground in the same spot he fell when she pulled him down. He is breathing loudly as Lima approaches. LIMA Nestor? No response. LIMA Nestor?! Nestor tries to speak. LIMA Nestor whats wrong? NESTOR (Through heavy breathing) Get an EpiPen. LIMA An EpiPen?! Where are they? NESTOR The drawer. Nestor struggles to point to one of the drawers in the kitchen. Lima jumps up and goes to the drawer. She opens it up and begins tearing through it. There is no EpiPen.

LIMA I dont see one. She moves to the next drawer furiously looking for an EpiPen. After going through all the drawers in the kitchen Lima grabs the phone. LIMA Im calling an ambulance! NESTOR (still struggling) Dont. LIMA YES! NESTOR Please. LIMA Youre going to die. (beat) They wont recognize me, its been four years! (beat) Please Nestor! NESTOR Im sorry. Lima starts to breakdown. She drops to her knees and wraps her arms around Nestor. She hold him as his breath becomes more and more of a struggle. Lima is still holding him as Nestor takes his last breath. She continues holding him for a moment after. Tears are rolling down her cheeks. She finally releases him and goes to the phone and dials. LIMA (To the phone) Hello, I need an ambulance to 1840 Woodland Avenue. (beat) I think it is an allergic reaction. (beat) I cant find one (beat) No (beat) Thank you. (beat) Im Lima (beat) Lima... Petersson. (beat) Yes, that is me. (beat) Im fine (beat) Can you contact my parents, please. Fade out.
