Kondapalli Fort, Vijayawada
Kondapalli Fort is one of the most renowned Vijayawada attractions and it dates back to 14th century.
The fort is built on a hillock near Vijayawada. With a three-storied rock tower, it is assumed to be
constructed by Prolaya Vema Reddi, the originator of Reddy Empire of Kondaveedu. Few historians
argue that the fort was as old as 7th century and was constructed by King Krishna Deva Raya. The
fort got repaired later under the administration of the Qutub Shahis. However, the main thing is that it
looks very attractive and therefore, a large number of tourists come here to explore the beauty of the
fort and the local inhabitants come here to spend their weekend with friends and family.
Mogalarajapuram Caves, Vijayawada
Mogalarajapuram Caves, situated near Vijayawada is well-known for the three cave temples and is
said to be as old as 5th century AD. One of the three cave temples carries an impressive carving of
Ardhanariswara which is known as one of its kind in south India. This cave temple has carved
