Happy crocheting!
Description
1) Make a row of chain stitches. The number of stitches should always be a multiple of 3 + 2 + 2.
I made 120 chain stitches + 2 + 2 = 124 chain stitches.
2) Do 1 double crochet in the fifth stitch from your hook.
3) Chain 1. Do 1 double crochet in the same stitch.
4) Skip 2 stitches. *Do 1 double crochet, 1 chain, 1 double crochet.* Repeat what's in between
* until there are two chains left. Skip 1 chain and do 1 double crochet in the last chain.
5) Chain 3. In between the V (so inbetween the next two double crochet) you do: 1 double
crochet, 1 chain, 1 double crochet. End this row with 1 double crochet in the third chain you
made in the previous row.
Now repeat row 5 until you blanket is long enough.
The edging
1) Do 1 chain after your last double crochet.
2) Do 1 single crochet in every double crochet of the top row. Do also 1 single crochet in every
V, so in between the two double crochet.
3) When you reach the corner, do 1 chain stitch. Go down the side by doing 2 single crochet
around every double crochet.
4) When you reach the bottom, chain 1.
5) Do 2 single crochet in between the V's in the bottom row and 1 single crochet underneath
the point where two double crochet come together.
6) When you reach the corner, do 1 chain stitch. Go up the side by doing 2 single crochet
around every double crochet.
7) When you reach the top, do 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet and fasten off.
Ofcourse you can make the edging wider by doing an extra row of single crochet.
